One of the DARVO attempts was an accusation that I "made up" past assaults "for attention." It was an obvious attempt to deflect from the reality of the assaults and abuses inflicted by them. It was gross and transparent. It worked on some people and not others.

... and one who just wanted to apologise and expected nothing in return. He didn't ask for forgiveness. He just wanted me to know he was sorry.

And... nope. I don't care. The people who believed them aren't people I want in my life. They are not people I want in my life. I don't care what they think or what they say. They ultimately did me more favours than they did harm. They gave me freedom.

This is the second thing in the past two weeks which has been evidence of how false and disgusting their accusations were. And people keep saying - don't you wish you could tell them? Send them this so they know? Share it widely so people know what liars they are?

An ex from over 20 years ago contacted me recently, out of the blue, after all of this time. He didn't want anything other than to offer an apology he wasn't even sure I'd accept for the things he did and the person he was when we were together.

Ohhhh my God - if you know you KNOW.

If you want to begin to try to understand the reality of a relationship, look at the behaviour post-relationhip. If someone is financially abusive when it's the only mechanism they have left, you can start to imagine what they were like with all tools at their disposal.

Imagine if you could just... pick and choose when to feed your kids. Or whether you can be bothered to pay for their expensive sports/activities, or their medical and dental costs, or their school camps and excursions. Like, you could just say...

... nah, not what I choose to prioritise today/this week/this fortnight (whatever). I reckon the good parents would keep putting their kids first, sacrificing and working and making sure they had what they need, and the ones who like to parent strictly for the optics would not.

It takes a real commitment to being a deadbeat parent to actively choose not to support kids' needs FIRST and everything else second.

LOL, same patterns, same hallmarks, same tells. It would be funny if it wasn't so bloody pathetic.

The text messages from the Caleb Flynn trial are making me so ill. Some of them are strikingly familiar. "Why couldn't I have met you first and had babies with you? It's so unfair. You're the love of my life." Ugh. There but for the grace of God, huh? 😏

100% When you have been with someone who is this entire list, and you have been with someone who is none of this list, you'll never accept any one of these things again.

A man causing a mistrial in a case based solely on the word of a man is such irony I can’t. #lindsayclancy

Not all men, but definitely THAT juror 😒

Any time money is a bit tight, what I like to do is not contribute to my kids clothes, food, schooling or activities. I might delay payments, or just skip them entirely, because what matters most is my comfort. Someone else will just make sure they have what they need, right? 😒

Been there, done that, never again! ❤️
If your partner is toxic, manipulative, and deceitful whether a husband or a wife don't expect a healthy home. There will be no lasting peace, no emotional stability, and the children often become silent victims of repeated psychological wounds. A toxic partner uses emotional harm as a tool for control and to project their unresolved pain onto others. They rarely acknowledge their responsibilities only their rights, and often believe those rights should always come first.
