Glad to hear from 🇬🇷 & 🇨🇾 Ministers that EU-backed Great Sea Interconnector is advancing. A key strategic energy link, one of our 🇪🇺 Energy Highways, that will end 🇨🇾 energy isolation while contributing to regional security of energy supplies, market integration & lower prices.

We need to strengthen Europe's ability to anticipate, prepare for & manage climate risks. This is essential for our energy security. Our system must be prepared for climate impacts - low river levels that disrupt fuel transport & power plants, heatwaves that strain our grids. ↓

Honoured to join the flag ceremony for the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence. In 1956, Hungarians stood up not only for their own freedom, but also for the values that unite us across Europe today. Freedom is a shared European value.

An important step in our fight against housing exclusion and homelessness! @Ireland2026eu @EUCouncil 🙏
Together with @DanJoergensen we welcome this week’s adoption by the Council of the Council Recommendation on fighting housing exclusion, including homelessness. Around 1.4 million people in the EU have no place to call home. We must prevent people from losing their homes and provide lasting housing solutions. Because housing is a right, not a privilege.

Good progress at today's trilogue on the planning part of the Grids Package. A more rational, European approach to grids planning is essential to bring down energy costs & complete our Energy Union. We need to get this agreed as soon as possible.

We need more energy "made in Europe" to become independent. The lesson of the past crises could not be clearer: we need to free ourselves from fossil fuel imports. The more clean energy we produce from homegrown sources, the lower our bills become. My Op-Ed out today ↓

Our citizens need and deserve affordable energy. As @G7, we will closely coordinate towards to achieve this goal. We welcome the decision of G7 countries not to impose any export bans on allies and the continued solidarity between partners. We support an @IEA-coordinated release of fuel stocks. While staying the course on the clean transition, to gain more energy security. Thank you to the French Presidency for convening this important call. link.europa.eu/kNHfJM
