It’s true: after 7 incredible years leading the @bostonbikeunion, I’m moving on to the next adventure later this month.
So grateful for everyone who has made the “work” a delight. Together, we’ve re-shaped the streets around Boston! 🚲🚲🚲
Keep showing up and speaking up!

the community path crossings should have stop signs for cars, not people
Rode the new #GreenLineExtension to Tufts for this morning’s celebration. @SenWarren said it best: “I have one word for you — FINALLY”
So grateful for all of advocates and activists who never gave up and fought for this project to both happen AND continue. And for the #GLX workers who laid every piece of rail and worked day in day out, through COVID through cold winters and hot summers, to deliver this project

I'm dressed as a triple decker because we need more multi family housing! If I wasn't so short, I would have gone for a taller building! @ABetterCambMA

On this dark, rainy morning, I remind you about one of the best things ever… puppy spiders. #Halloween
In Boston, the primary model company we have is @getir_us. They hire & train their delivery riders, pay them as workers (not contractors), incentivize safety, and use ebikes and e-mopeds only. We need them to expand beyond their groceries or incentivize copycats that deliver B2C
Replying to @jfh
A big part of the answer is moving more deliveries out of cars. This Chick-Fil-A only delivers within a 10 minute radius. They'd reach more customers with bikes and mopeds. But the delivery companies don't provide a way for restaurants to require car-free deliveries.

“Equitable and inviting spacing for every body” @bostonbikeunion #biketoberfest mission stays the same, as strategies change. So proud of @beeekaw for seven successful years of stellar leadership. Last day tomorrow! #bospoli

Spoke to a few Boston-based professionals in the development sector this weekend, each of whom live on the South Shore.
They drive to Boston for work. I asked why they don't take @MBTA_CR.
They told me the roundtrip commute by train is $27.00 (including $3 for parking). WTF
Amazing work by @BostonBTD under the leadership@of @jfh and @wutrain getting this from concept to implementation in under 6 months.
This kind of progress gives me so much hope! (Especially when transforming such a harrowing corridor)

"...this isn't cars-versus-bikes. We're pushing for a better future where people have mobility options, where they can choose to bike because it's fun and safe and can get where they need to go." 🙌🙌 @beeekaw

At @SomervilleCity “Community Meeting” for Ward 3. It’s my first time attending and participating in my 8yrs as a resident, in large part because I knew what it was! Thank you for re-naming them from the former label “Resistat”. Thanks for hosting, @BenForWard3 @katjballantyne
