#jokeoftheday Let’s face it: Practicing is never done. It’s a problem when you know it, then your standpartner knows it, then the section leader knows it and then the CONDUCTOR knows it! #music #Practice

A favorite activity of ships' cats was stalking seagulls. The 1942 deck log of HMS Gorleston contains the odd entry "Kitten became airborne at 14:30." Sailors had seen their cat Rastus launch a suprise attack on a large gull and then take off clinging to the bird's leg. The gull circled the harbor until Rastus let go and fell into the water. He swam ashore and returned to the ship by walking up the gangway.

Paul Simon pays tribute to 9/11 by performing "The Sound Of Silence".
A native New Yorker, you can see the deep emotion in Paul's face as he sings.
Heartbreaking.
So sad to hear this.. Sweet and lovely Annie Pacheco … Sending prayers, love, and hugs to Tom and the family…

"This is a personal post from Nancy. Normally I make posts here on Tom's request. It is with great sadness that I am sharing with you that Tom's wife, Annie, of 44 years, passed away early this morning after a long illness. Tom, understandably, is overwhelmed and asks that his privacy be respected at this time. Our condolences go out to Annie's sister, Bette Wright Ashmore, and all family members.
Thank you for your love and support." 🙏 – at Woodstock, NY

An apt day to remember that Dolly Parton once recorded a cover of Stairway to Heaven - and, in defiance of every moral law in the universe, she absolutely owned it.
