Birmingham-Southern players wanted one last memory together, so they decided to take a 12-hour bus ride back home, over a quick flight.
After a season full of dramatic moments, all this group wanted was one last road trip.

ATHLETES: You don’t have to be a captain, senior or even a starter to be a leader. Being a leader is defined by what you do, not by a title that asks you to be one. Don’t let your role on the field stop you from having a major impact on your team through leadership.

COACHES: Every coach has a playbook and knows their X's & O's. However, the best coaches are able to build strong cultures and inspire their athletes.

Going D3 is not “settling”. Going D3 puts you among the top 7% of ALL high school athletes nationwide. Going D3 (or ANY LEVEL of college sports) is a damn privilege!

Players: Your coaches will watch you this off season. It tells them a lot about who’s committed to improving & who’s only interested when it’s convenient. No secrets & no shortcuts. You can only improve when you understand that every practice, drill, workout, day, etc., matters!

We do what fits the players we have. Sometimes, I think 'a system' is an extension of a coach’s ego. – John Calipari

This was a fun game - momentum swings and clutch plays on both sides. OA’s Creighton w/a BOUNCE-PASS assist was sick (appropriate time & place/executed perfectly) & Scituate’s awareness w/seconds left in a quarter (didn’t catch the #) to push GLE & score as time expired was big!
Let’s Go!! Scituate 16 Oliver Ames 11! Sailors advance in D2 South! Solid game by both teams! Ray O’Brien lead the way with 5-3 while Ollie Alvord and Pat DeMatteo had 3-1 each! #anchorup @ScitAthletics @ChrisMcDaniel88 @bostonlaxnet @BostonHeraldHS

91 % of this years NFL draft picks played multiple sports in high school. Explain to me again why we listen to club/youth coaches who say you need to specialize in 1 sport?
