I've never seen someone with a touchscreen laptop do anything other than fumble about before giving up and using their trackpad. I've certainly never watched and envied the experience. I do hope @Apple allows us to option them without it.

I’m not asking you, I’m telling you. Take a moment and listen to this 81 second response from Victor Glover after being asked if he had any thoughts leading up to Easter. I don’t quite think it can be overstated how perfect this crew is for the job.

I'm not sure if I'm more annoyed at @vercel or @clerk for the nonsense where I need to pay 5x extra to be able to use my production auth on preview environments. Either way I'm pretty grumpy.

Plan mode in @cursor_ai is 🤌 This is basically what I've been doing with shoddy markdown files, but this is doing a much better job.

How has @AnthropicAI taken Claude from being the absolute king of coding to being barely competent? Totally fumbling the ball here guys. You can't be the most expensive and useless. It used to be worth the cost, right now it's unusable.

grok-code-fast-1 on @cursor_ai is absolutely not underselling the "fast" bit!

Seeing a flood of AI agents that dazzle as demos but flop as real products. That brutal last 20% of polish? It’s 80% of the grind. The leap from ‘clever’ to ‘can’t-live-without’ demands ruthless focus on a handful of things: - Pinpointing the exact pain the agent solves - Diving deep on 3-4 hero journeys: nailing the tools, data, planning, and reasoning that actually matter - Crafting the full end-to-end experience—smooth wins, graceful failures—and building ruthless evals to track it all

Honestly think OpenAI focusing on efficiency over raw capability might be exactly what we need right now. Most of us aren't hitting the limits of current models, we're hitting cost and speed limits. Sometimes the best innovation is making existing tech actually usable at scale. theregister.com/2025/08/13/g…

Everyone thinks product building is about genius ideas or perfect code But here’s the uncomfortable truth: 1% is the idea 9% is coding 90% is battling your own doubt and showing up again

95% of AI pilots failing doesn't shock me tbh. Most companies are trying to run before they can walk. Start with one clear problem, get that working brilliantly, then expand. The winners are treating AI like a really smart intern, not a magic solution to every business problem. fortune.com/2025/08/18/mit-r…

Pretty impressed with this stealth "sonic" model in @cursor_ai. It's no claude but it's pretty good at contained tasks.

Sam Altman says entire jobs will disappear because of AI. So now I'm wondering which parts of my workday I should automate myself, before AI does it for me, and probably for less. Feels a bit like preemptively surrendering to the machines, but maybe that's just 2025.

The best product builders do one thing brilliantly, ship fast.

I can only assume @AnthropicAI has some sort of intelligence slider they can turn down when under load, but it would be really good if they could provide an estimated IQ status page or something because sometimes it's like Claude has been lobotomised.

AOL dial-up finally ending hits different. That screeching sound was the gateway drug for an entire generation of us who fell in love with building on the internet. 56k and unlimited patience. Simpler times when connecting felt magical. nbcnews.com/news/us-news/aol…
