This note regarding the importance of Elon leading Tesla is more relevant now than ever.
Tesla is at a critical juncture, as it is metamorphosing into the world leader in robotics. Creating large-scale, useful robots requires expertise across engineering design, manufacturing, real-world AI software, chips for AI, and more. Elon is, quite likely, the only person on Earth with deep skills and the right instincts across all these domains.
Please vote yes on the shareholder proposal, and let's bring extraordinary prosperity to the world.

Watching Circle's IPO pricing is fascinating from a fintech infrastructure perspective. Having built payments infrastructure at Circle, I can tell you: when you control money issuance, you're not in fintech anymore. You're in monetary policy.
$26/share = $6B valuation for $60B circulation = 0.1x multiple. (rough number)
This is structural mispricing. Circle isn't a money market fund - it's a digital dollar infrastructure with quasi-sovereign issuance rights.
For context:
PayPal: $70B market cap, $1.5T volume
Visa: $500B market cap, $14T volume
Circle: $6B valuation, ~$12T volume
The math doesn't work.
25x oversubscribed tells the real story. Underwriters priced for "safety" but missed the fundamental shift:
Circle controls the digital dollar printing press.
Fair infrastructure multiple should be 0.25- 0.4x circulation, putting Circle at $150-250B valuation.
Tomorrow's trading will be a repricing event. Not just for Circle, but for the entire digital monetary infrastructure category.
The market is about to learn this lesson.

- Agent Service Protocol

I’m excited to announce the cohort for our fourth Crypto Startup Accelerator program (CSX 04), starting this week in San Francisco.
CSX helps early-stage startups building on blockchain technologies to accelerate development and product-market fit. It is an intensive program that provides the expertise, mentorship, and support that startups need to build ambitious products across industries.
Over the next two months, the founders of these companies will get firsthand guidance and support from a16z crypto’s investing and operating teams. We connect founders with capital, industry experts across the a16z network, and a cohort of leading web3 teams. a16z CSX also invests a minimum of $500,000 in each company that’s accepted.
The founders in CSX 04 are coming to San Francisco from countries around the world: Canada, France, Germany, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, and across the US.
Here are the companies participating in CSX 04:
Ambient: building a blockchain that integrates large language models for verifiable, censorship-resistant AI capabilities
@CambrianNetwork: provides verifiable data for AI agents engaging in DeFi
@inconetwork: enables confidential compute to existing blockchains
@KYDLabs: building a fully integrated commerce layer designed for live events
@launchercapital: building the next generation of AI agents through gamification and blockchain technology
@MahojinAI: a search-to-generate AI platform that provides exact images through a remixable library
@getoro_xyz: a decentralized intelligence platform unlocking private data for frontier AI
Toji: makes onchain popularity markets for videos
@zardotapp: building a decentralized cash-to-stablecoin platform for emerging markets
Some companies that have been accepted are currently in stealth, and will be named soon. We may also add more companies to the cohort.
Congratulations to each of our CSX 04 companies. I can’t wait to kick things off with them this week.

People are slowly waking up to the importance of data for useful AI apps.
Truth is, data is the moat not only for businesses, but for humans in the age of AI!
Control over personal data enables useful apps w/ no extraction. PIN AI does this by connecting personal data<>AI.
Having given this more thought
seems like data is, once again, going to be the moat (always has been 🔫)
Whichever model is used for the most addictive AI apps will win.
OpenAI, for example, already knows a shit ton about me
& will be able to use that to create a more tailored, additive experience for me.

d/acc day was extremely inspiring
Here is a personal summary as one of the speakers and a link to full video stream below
I particularly liked the talks around programmable cryptography. From teams like Fabric and Zkemail. We need to break into more expressive protocols that expand the surface of what can be settled on-chain to create useful apps beyond DeFi. Both move the needle in this direction
Open source hardware is still at the tinkerer stage but it’s a fascinating endeavor and was cool to see progress
Also had an hallway chat with Jasper from Hyperbolic focused on how to get real PMF and build products that user love first, and then use the crypto superpowers to decentralize and scale. Excited by a new wave of crypto founders that builds products that are best in class and reaches users beyond crypto natives (eg Hyperbolic integration on HuggingFace)
Love Vitalik’s approach to keep the discussion practical when talking about the risks of AI. It is too easy to throw out prophecies about how AI will change our role in the multiverse. Vitalik keeps it grounded on where the tech is in the near future, mostly at the assistant level with autonomy only in certain confined domain. With this perspective in mind, safety becomes an engineering problem akin to building bridges, cars, self driving systems
Biodifense and Neurotech I knew very little about and the talks provide a good overview (see video stream)
Robotics is very close to my work in AI and personal data and something I’m going to dig more and write more about. It’s one of the areas where blockchains can really shine in the upcoming years
🚀 Excited to announce <d/acc day> at @UCBerkeley—hosted by @BerkeleyRDI and @ethereumsf.

From the Open Source AI Summit yesterday:
We are staring at a future that holds a lot of uncertainty for humanity. @VitalikButerin shared his timeline for achieving superhuman AGI at most tasks, which is very uncertain, something like between in 5 and in 100 years. @ilblackdragon's is much more aggressive, thinks that with the exponential progress we'll get there in a few years.
One thing is certain, there will be huge wealth generation and huge displacement in the economy. We must build system that counterbalance the centralization forces that are already monopolizing the industry. Open Source AI and verification on a decentralized blockchain with a decentralized community is one key ingredient for a more democratic and secure future.
Exciting to see many strong teams building towards this vision this week at ETHSF.
