NIMBYS will literally cite “free months of rent” as a reason YIMBY policies *don’t* work.
This is from YOUR article: “Landlords are now offering free months of rent just to fill units. The so-called “supply-and-demand” fix is not working.” UMMMMMM….

We moved away from “carline culture” to a smaller place where our kids can bike/walk freely around town… We’re NEVER going back.
they put the school next to the church next to the houses so that a seven year old could walk between all three, and we call that era backwards. we drive our kids 20 minutes to a school with a quarter-mile car line and call it choice

The 1973 oil crisis hit the Netherlands hard, car-free Sundays, fuel rationing, empty highways. But instead of reverting to the old normal, they rebuilt their cities for people: protected bike lanes, safer streets, less car dependence. A crisis became a permanent transformation.

BIG HOUSING NEWS: Our bill allowing more housing near transit stations (SB 79) just passed the Assembly Housing Committee! SB 79 will make transit-oriented development the norm in California — building the homes we need, increasing transit ridership & helping our climate goals.

I, for one, am grateful to Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson. I grew up poor in public housing in the Bronx. When government failed to deliver what it promised, it meant that my family and I had no heat and hot water in the winter. The Abundance Movement is right to challenge the progressive movement to deliver the progress it promises to the working class.

Let’s put this in terms MAGA will understand… Joe Biden has a Medal of Freedom, and Donald Trump just said that’s superior to the Medal of Honor.
Trump: When we gave her the Presidential Medal of Freedom… It’s the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor— it’s actually much better because everyone who gets the Congressional Medal, they’re soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they’re dead. She gets it and she’s a healthy beautiful woman

No words can properly describe how slanderous this is to our military and those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

Here's how I think Kamala wins in November: 1- She stays on offense and keeps her message focused on the future. 2 - Dems stay aligned as she pivots towards the center on some issues. 3 - She avoids unforced errors (like putting the Clintons on stage at the DNC).

Someone should do a study on school car lines in America. How much time do parents spend in them yearly? How much staff time is spent? Polution levels? Families connection to school community? What else?

See how no one on the left is calling this a sham trial? See how Biden accepts the verdict even though it will likely send his last living child to prison. This is what standing for the rule of law looks like. Trump on the other hand...
