It's a very powerful test, very highly respected test, very well known test, 30 questions, very hard. I passed it all 3 times. I aced it

GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES GASIPPPP BID WINDOW 1 OUTCOME, REAFFIRMS MARKET COMMITMENT AND OUTLINES THE PATH FORWARD
28 October 2026 | Pretoria, South Africa - The Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, through the Department of Electricity and Energy (DEE) and the Independent Power Producer (IPP) Office, today announced the conclusion of Bid Window 1 (BW1) of the Gas Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (GASIPPPP).
Gas-to-power is critical for South Africa’s electricity supply system adequacy and flexibility. GASIPPPP BW1 sought to procure 2,000 MW of generation capacity in line with the IRP2019
and IRP2025. Following an extensive stakeholder consultation the Department issued a revised GASIPPPP BW1 Request for Proposals on 20 October 2025. On 29 May 2026 the Department received four (4) bids offering a total of 2,830MW.
The RFP required bidders to provide assurances of gas supply for their bids. Even though South Africa is potentially well endowed with natural gas, it imports most of its gas supply requirements from Mozambique and the country has no LNG receiving terminal. The bidders
were unable to provide gas supply assurances to the level required in the RFP. This is one of the main reasons that none of the bidders satisfied the mandatory functional criteria.

Suliman Carrim is supposed to have his judgement on bail this morning but the state wants to make an application to reopen it’s case to present new information.
The prosecutor says investigators recently discovered this evidence and they argue it’s prudent to the decision the court needs to make.
Carrim’s lawyers are opposing this application.

Senong has lied about having a PhD since 2022.
She also falsely claimed (in a poster for a 2023 Career Guidance Conference that charged attendees R1299 a ticket) that she was a Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) board member. PWC has denied any relationship with her.
Dimpho Senong, who created a fake video of herself graduating with a forged PhD certificate from Wits University, says her false claims about having a doctorate “were intended to be satirical in nature” – as she holds a PhD in "life experience".

Katiso “KT” Molefe’s DJ Sumbody Murder Trial Set To Begin On Monday
The murder trial of alleged underworld figure Katiso “KT” Molefe and his three co-accused is scheduled to begin in the Johannesburg High Court tommorow, Monday, 26 October 2026.
Molefe, a Sandton controversial businessman, is among four accused facing 35 charges linked to the November 2022 murder of amapiano artist and businessman Oupa John “DJ Sumbody” Sefoka and other alleged contract killings.
His co-accused are former police detective Michael Pule Tau, Tiego Floyd Mabisela and Musa Kekana.
The State alleges that Molefe orchestrated the killings as part of an organised criminal network. The charges include murder, conspiracy to commit murder and the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
DJ Sumbody was shot dead alongside his bodyguards, Sibusiso Mokoena and Sandile Myeza, in Woodmead, Johannesburg, on 20 November 2022.
According to the State, forensic evidence links the high-calibre rifles allegedly used in the attack to other killings, including those of DJ Vintos, whose real name was Hector Buthelezi, businessman Don Tindleni and Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart.
The prosecution’s case includes alleged links between the accused and a wider network of killings. The allegations will be tested in court.
The matter was set down for trial following the conclusion of a pre-trial conference in March 2026, during which the defence confirmed that it had received full disclosure of the State’s evidence.
Molefe was granted R400,000 bail by the Johannesburg High Court in October 2025 after the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court denied his initial bail application. His three co-accused remain in custody.
Molefe also faces a separate murder case linked to the killing of Swart, for which he was previously granted R100,000 bail.
The trial is expected to examine allegations of organised crime and the links between several high-profile killings in Gauteng. The National Prosecuting Authority has indicated that it is ready to proceed with the case.
