So, it may just be that I have waaayyyy to many GitHub repositories to manage, but this very simple tool I created a few months back has made it so so much simpler to manage all as one: gitjoin.com/
Totally agree with Mr. King here. First three seaons of The Diplomat was great, but the fourth was just fanstastic. Highly recommended.
I'm getting bullish $NVDA now that Yandex needs to replace its supercomputers: yandex.com/supercomputers

I see this less as GitHub failing and more as open source evolving.
The current workflow is increasingly absurd: someone uses AI to generate a PR, I use a better AI to review it, then their AI and my AI go back and forth until we converge. Add AI-generated spam on top, and the human is mostly just acting as a router between agents.
I’d rather skip that entire loop.
Imagine you use a project and want a feature. You go to the repo and describe what you want. The project’s AI already knows its conventions, preferences, history, rejected ideas, and boundaries. It can immediately tell you whether the idea is likely to fit and what shape it should take.
If it makes sense, you press a button and the project’s chosen AI implements it, validates it, and presents the maintainer with the request and the code as one thing.
No separate issue. No PR ping-pong. No two AIs talking through two humans.
What AI still canot replace is taste: deciding what a project should be, what belongs in it, and where its boundaries are.
Union types in Go would be most welcomed (I would have liked if they did that before generics). Robert Griesemer just commented on an issue with a non-endorsement that looked very similar to a endoresement: github.com/golang/go/issues/…
So I got one of these surveys in an email asking how my company use AI. I asked Claude to handle it. Ironic. And time saving.
I just released a new version of the Go template formater with some bug fixes and improvements: github.com/gohugoio/gotmplfm…

On September 1, 2026, between approximately 14:01 and 16:01 UTC, updates in response to pushes were delayed, temporarily showing stale diffs. The median time to refresh a diff after a push rose from the normal level of about 3 seconds to over 2 minutes ... githubstatus.com/incidents/j…

Please do not direct your agent to burn down issues on someone else's open source project. Reviewing your "contribution" is actually more work for a maintainer than it is for them to direct their own agent to fix the same bug. So you are actually creating work, not helping.
So, I've spent the last couple of evenings setting up my #MacBook Pro 2019 with #Omarchy 4. I spent a frustrating amount of time getting it up and running, a flashback to my younger years when I enjoyed fiddling with this stuff. This is still exotic hardware in the land of Linux, but I could have gotten this working much faster if I had found github.com/basecamp/omarchy/… sooner, an excellent and to the point guide fixing the dual GPU issue (even Claude's Fable wasn't able to fix that). The screenshot below is a reminder that you need a USB keyboard for the first boot (a wireless USB dongle keyboard works); the touch bar works great once fully booted, but not in the bootloader. I would also recommend you have a look at github.com/basecamp/omarchy/… for some Mac friendly key bindings. When I finally had it up and running it was smooth sailing, and easy to get a comparable developer environment to my daily MacBook driver, and it's great that I can now get some more use out of this still decent hardware (Intel i9 CPU, 32 GB, 1TB SSD).
I have tagged a v1.0.0 release of my Go imagemeta library (EXIF, IPTC and XMP support), now well battle-tested in Hugo:
github.com/bep/imagemeta/rel…
I just reserved my Cloudflare Wallet tag: bep.cloudflare.pay.
Reserve yours now at cloudflare.pay
I notice that many depends on this forked version of hashstructure (original is archived and read-only), so I have cut a v1.0.0 release. Now almost alloc free. github.com/gohugoio/hashstru…
What's the score between Brazil and Norway?
(and yes, I'm also tired of these endless click-baits, mostly AI generated, so this will probably be my first and last)
Me coming into JFK and through US immigration, handing over my Norwegian passport.
Agent: To prove you're from Norway, name five players on the team that beat Brazil in the 1998 World Cup.
Me: Mykland, Flo, Rekdal, Flo, and Flo.
Agent: Hah! You named Flo thrice. Entry denied!
Friend coming into JFK and through US Immigration.
Agent: where are you coming from?
Friend: London
Agent: Where do you live?
Friend: London
Agent: But your passport is from Mexico
Friend: It’s Spain
Agent: It says Espania. That’s a state in Mexico
Friend: No, it’s Spain and a country in Europe
Agent: But you have an English accent
Friend: I grew up in England
Agent: So where is your English passport
Friend: I’m not a British citizen
Gets send to secondary.
