BART tells us when things are not running on time but never when they are running on time.
We only hear how it sucks.
This is a problem for the ballot initiative coming up
Sometimes the intuition of fundraisers is to tell people something is bad to motivate them to improve it. This is a bad idea. Who wants to fund a shitty transportation system?
The better plan may be to remind people that BART can actually be quite good and we should save it.

Why do all demos of new AI features focus on trip planning? "This feature is revolutionary! It helps me plan a trip to Florida!!"
Japanese toilets are a clear win for the climate, but they are also a master class in product design.
💡When you flush, the sink water automatically comes on. You must wash your hands.
Replying to @earth_tracker
10. Japanese toilets often have a sink on top, allowing you to wash hands with water that's reused for flushing, saving millions of liters of water yearly.

A lot of AI wrappers make money not by having a better product that what you can get by prompting, but by helping users realize something is possible with AI.
It’s a user acquisition/education challenge.
Fun (and revealing!) to chat with @eriktorenberg about our relationship. @levin_phil and I go deep on how we handle conflict, why we live with 20 people and how to I get Phil to keep our room clean :)
Everyone saw it coming except them. @bermster and @levin_phil share how they went from 'we can't, it would be too good' to building an unconventional marriage powered by behavioral science, named arguments ('Hi Fred!'), and a community of 20 adults living together.
Episode 2 of Modern Relationships drops now.
We tend to think that if people don’t follow up, they must have intended to ignore us.
If we don’t follow up with a client or friend, we are just forgetful and busy.
This is attribution bias. It leads to missed opportunities, sales and sour grapes.

This idea is very difficult for PMs and Designers to truly understand.
1. We don't perceive ourselves to be influenced by norms - we aren't mindless sheep !🐑 how could our users be?
2. Teams rely so much on Qual research and norms are wildly under-reported in interviews
Growth, sharing, and word-of-mouth matter for consumer products because 49.9% of a user’s decision to adopt is informed by their peers (with the remainder being the product’s intrinsic value and utility).
The internal voice in a consumer’s head is constantly telling them, “You’re supposed to do what everyone else is doing.”
If you can figure out a way to manufacture that perception for your product, you will have eliminated the most important confounding variable in your testing process, which enables you to determine viability with much greater clarity.

The follow-up study -- if you show people these results -- are they still likely to believe astrology? Hmmm - the stars say yes.
