100%. Thank you for advocating for our kids!
Instead of spending time on SB 8- the voucher bill- we should focus on fully funding our #txed schools, especially SpEd- the most underfunded school program. At minimum, we need a $900 increase to the basic allotment, $2B in SpEd funding, and pay raises for all teachers & staff.
When the parents of a young child your team evaluated cry, but in a good way... When they are excited and hopeful...THAT'S what hits me in my heart and when I feel my calling most. #schoolpsychlife #hope #allchildrencanlearn #differentnotless

One of the first steps in connecting with a challenging student… is to LIKE them, rather than “put up” with them. It’s amazing how the attitude of the adult can affect the attitude of the kid.

School psychologists have seen as many problems in three months as they used to see in a year. “We knew it was going to be a problem with kids transitioning back from virtual.” on.wsj.com/3DIzQIS

Be the difference for THAT kid. THAT kid can’t read, falls asleep in class, forgets his homework, is always hungry, and says he hates school. THAT kid needs you the most. You can help change THAT kid's life trajectory. Thanks for caring because I was THAT kid!
