Do you have a story tip, particularly involving police and/or crime? You can email me at [email protected] or our newsroom at [email protected] We used to have a Google form but we will be losing access to that. Emailing is best (and you can still be anonymous).

Watching how #GoSensGo have welcomed back Brady Tkachuk and the #FlaPanthers tonight in Ottawa - a 5-1 rout, plus fights, roughings and debris everywhere - just reaffirms what a pathetic showing that was by #CBJ on Tuesday vs. Kirill Marchenko and #Leafs.

Whoever is handling the in arena music tonight for the Blue Jackets is on their game. I shall have no further comment on the matter.

The MAC now says that “replay protocol was not properly followed” in the Western Michigan-Michigan game and the league has filed a formal appeal with the NCAA FBS Oversight Committee to be recognized as the winner.

As the kids say ... some professional news! I have moved into an editing role with The Dispatch that also means I'm the editor of the Newark Advocate. I'm going to be transitioning out of day-to-day reporting. (1/?)

This is a full circle moment of sorts for me, as I got my first reporting job in Newark just a couple of years ago and the paper holds a special place in my heart. I will definitely miss reporting on a daily basis, but I'm still going to find ways to write occasionally. (2/?)

The details of who will take over court coverage for The Dispatch are still being worked out. Regardless of who takes over, I'm still in central Ohio. And I'm going to be keeping tabs on big cases. Feel free to keep sending me tips! I can get them to the right places. (3/3)

Since I joined The Dispatch 8+ years ago, I’ve heard a new Muni Court is eventually going to be built. Now, construction’s canceled and there’s lots of questions about the nearly $300M in bonds voters approved since 2019. dispatch.com/story/news/loca…

Another milestone happened earlier this week when I found the documents/helped break one of the biggest stories in my career so far, if not the biggest. Four years later, it is worth remembering a 10-year-old girl didn't ask to be the center of this. dispatch.com/story/news/2022…

Today marks my eighth anniversary of joining the staff @DispatchAlerts — and a lot has changed since then. But one thing hasn’t changed. I still do my best to report accurately, quickly and fairly about stories that matter. Thanks for reading along! Here’s to 8 more years!

Great exclusive from @sheridan120 about how someone noticed at least some of the Siders children weren’t in school… but the family couldn’t be found to be served with the legal paperwork.

From me this morning: Do the past ties county prosecutor Shayla Favor has to the Jason Meade case create a conflict with the office now handling it? One expert says while no laws may be being broken, perception is reality for many. dispatch.com/story/news/cour…

There was always just a feeling with him that he liked being here and liked having his family here. So excited about the signing!
#CBJ source on the importance of extending Charlie Coyle: "Had to have him." Coyle was in the driver's seat w contract talks. Would have had a big market waiting for him on July 1 if he reached UFA. My understanding: Coyle's gear never left Nationwide Arena after the season.

Congratulations to these two crazy kids!! You guys are going to have an amazing day and few weeks.
Big personal news: We're getting married this Saturday. To say the 1+ years has been edifying would be an understatement. Please pray for me and @SarahEDon as we enter the final days of preparation for the sacrament of matrimony. (Don't text me about K-12 on our honeymoon)

Install steel cages or octagons for game 4. Make sure there’s enough room too.
A WHOLE LOTTA PENALTIES, but most importantly Philly is heading to the PP.
