धारावी के परिवारों को सांताक्रूज़ की प्रगति सोसाइटी में मिला अस्थायी ठिकाना, अब उनके सफर का एक अहम पड़ाव बन गया है।
मुंबई के वाकोला, सांताक्रूज़ ईस्ट स्थित प्रगति कोऑपरेटिव हाउसिंग सोसाइटी में माटुंगा धारावी DRP प्रोजेक्ट से जुड़े परिवार रह रहे हैं। करीब 2 से 3 महीने पहले हुए स्थानांतरण के बाद फिलहाल अगले 2 से 3 साल तक यही उनका ठिकाना रहेगा।
यह अस्थायी व्यवस्था पुनर्विकास की प्रक्रिया के दौरान परिवारों के रहने का इंतजाम है। अब उम्मीद है कि परियोजना आगे बढ़ेगी और ये परिवार अपने स्थायी घरों में लौटकर एक नई शुरुआत कर सकेंगे।
