"But there may be a downside to body-positive images, too: they’re still focusing on bodies." When you think about your positive qualities, how often do you focus on physical attributes rather than things to do with your personality? #MHAW19 #bodyimage ow.ly/puIR50u3EPU

13th-19th May is Mental Health Awareness Week with the 2019 theme focusing on body image. This week we'll be reminding our followers to remember all the amazing things our bodies do for us - not just how they look - and sharing a range of interesting articles and stories.
We're looking for peer support volunteers with lived experience of mental health recovery to lead group activities for anyone wanting to improve their wellbeing. See our website for more info: bht.org.uk/services/mental-h…
We can’t control what life throws at us, but we can all practice reframing difficult events as challenges instead of threats. This shift in mindset has substantial benefits for our psychological and physical health. ow.ly/EUvb50pKs8z
