Vtuber vs IRL pic

Sometimes being a versatile singer who enjoys any music genre can be both a blessing and a curse. I sang secular music, folk and classic songs, pop and rock songs during my time in the church choir, school choir, and my rock band. And I also enjoy listening and singing some kpop, jpop, and cpop due to kdramas, anime, and danmei respectively. I've performed for different sizes of crowd in various events either as a soloist or a frontwoman of a band for years. Yet, in vtubing, despite the many music groups, projects, event, and concerts I've been accepted to, appeared at, and performed in, I'm somehow not really invited much for anything related to rock music that it's starting to fuck with my head and bring me serious imposter syndrome like I was this little goth teenager again being called a poser just because I enjoy other music genre other than goth or rock. Well, I guess it is what it is. I must remind myself that vtubing can only see a fraction of who I am, the things I've achieved irl or online, the things I do and will continue doing as a creative. I'll enjoy and cherish every opportunity anyone has given me or will give me today onwards. Yall amazing and please don't be discouraged with every rejection you receive. You will always have a place not just in vtubing but in music, too. And if they say you have no place in it? Carve the hell out of it, make your own path, and leave a mark.

When my father passed away, a company I work for that is in MENTAL HEALTH business fired me just because I told them I was not in the right headspace to continue working and deliver 100% results and would have to take a break so I could take care of the funeral and everything. Mind you, they never offered any kind words and not a single dollar as donation to help but instead emailed me that they will let me take a break but actually fired me by removing all my work access and then left a bad review on my freelancer profile as if I did not work for them for four years and performed well beyond their standards. You would expect a MENTAL HEALTH company who claims to care about people's mental well-being would show support and empathy to their very own worker but I guess not. They are just monetizing on everyone else's suffering and not genuinely concerned if you even off yourself. After threatening to report the unjust termination to the government in accordance to the UK Labor Laws, they paid me hush money. I accepted it with disdain because how am I supposed to bury my deceased father. "We treat our employees like family" Yeah, right. If you ever hear this from an employer, you better watch your back. Just do your job and get your paycheck, don't expect genuine human connection.
