I neglected to do my annual @StoneBrewing Vertical Epic post last year, but it did happen! Down to 4 bottles this year, 2009-2012. 12 was the best followed closely by 09. Maybe next year I'll include a photo.
Just found a bunch of cassettes from decades ago. Dusted off the only boom box in the house and played U2 War. Damn that is such a great album!!
Stopped by @meanwhilebeer after landing in Austin. The owners used to work @breaksidebrews. They were closing but Trent was generous enough to pour me a pint. As I was leaving he offered me another beer on the house which I gratefully accepted. That’s service!
The conclusion of the 25-turned-24 days of not necessarily Christmas beers. Happy Holidays everyone!
Oops, slacked a couple of days (benders happen) but making up for it. Round 5 of the Christmas beers. Naughty was freaking amazing.
Next round of “Christmas” beers. Two dog beers, two Santa beers. My fav was the Mikkeller. If the cap is a good indication of the date, someone else aged it for me. Bonus!
Doing a sort of 25 days of Christmas beers. I’m pretty sure none of these count so far but at least they’re not the typical hop-heavy beers I drink. Here’s the first four. All very good in their own way.
Another @StoneBrewing Vertical Epic on the books. Had to do it all by myself because of COVID and it took two nights. Probably should have done three nights. Top three were 07, 12, 11. I’m glad 07 held up as that was my last one.
Attended the @SilverMoonBeer #takehomebrewfest with a friend in my backyard. My top three!
Congrats to @PfriemBeer for three Gold medals at the Best of Craft Beer Awards!
Opened my La Folie from the last year they C&C'd them (2008, 2009?) Still very sour but not over powering.

This is an excellent piece that rightly identifies “silent complicity” as a cancer in allowing racism to persist in craft beer. I’d love to see this post have 500 retweets before it’s all done. Give it a read and share the wisdom.

Made it to @FDTaphouse while waiting for family to arrive at PDX. Cool joint! I love the Beer Stories deck of cards.
Went for a 23 and 24 tasting tonight with a friend, found a 21 as a nice bonus. 23 was the best hands down, but all were good.
