Build the boring version first. One customer, one order, one invoice. Get that working properly before designing the dashboard for a thousand.

Before sharing a page, click every link in the version people will receive. Check public links in a private window too. A link that works while you’re signed in may still leave everyone else at a login screen.

Separate the facts from the assumptions before asking AI to forecast anything. A neat answer won’t tell you which numbers were guessed.

Keep a short decision log: what you chose, why, and what you ruled out. When the same debate returns a month later, you can check the reasoning instead of starting again.

Ernst Roets is that you boet?
(AFP)

ChatGPT is literally an operating system. For business owners who haven’t realized.

Put the actual request in the first line of an email. Add the background underneath. The reader should know what you need before scrolling.

A reminder tells you something needs attention. A useful reminder tells you what to do, when to do it and where to start.

This will go fucking crazy! Anyone tried it?
defining a new category: phone-use an mcp/api that gives ai agents their own phones cloud phones. real androids. real iphones. tell your agent what to do, and it can operate a phone just like you do. today, ai agents face three fundamental problems and phoneuse solves them 🧵

Claude, Do It
We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

Name files for the person searching for them next month. Project, document type, version. “Supplier comparison v2” is much easier to find than “Final final updated”.

Before automating a task, write down what “done” means. Otherwise you can end up with a system that completes every step except the one you actually needed.

Lol damn. Comment section 😅
Name one thing “white people” do better than “Black people”

What blows my mind is getting real work done without touching my PC. I put in my AirPods, go for a walk, talk it through. I’m not the one crunching the numbers and clicking through everything. I review the results and approve what matters. More time with my family.
Every day I find something new my dot can handle and think, 'Okay, this is actually getting ridiculous.' Since launch I've barely opened my computer. I've been dealing with MTN, checking statements, even scheduling posts just talking it through. Still kind of wild to me.

Today my Dot helped me get an MTN upgrade application submitted without me having to wrestle with the website myself. It proactively saw that I was due for an upgrade and went for it. It worked through the contract checks, dealt with an address the site kept rejecting, checked the deal and terms with me, and added my delivery instructions. I approved the important steps, and it handled the admin. The confirmation email is in. Still waiting on delivery, but the application is submitted. This is where AI starts making a real difference for me. Not just answering questions or generating content, but helping get everyday things done.

I’m realizing the political landscape in SA has very little competition and is up for grabs for someone truly ambitious.
