Pramila Jayapal: War & the burdens of war fall primarily on women & families. Research shows that peace agreements lasting 2+ years goes up by 20% just by having women negotiating those. We need better negotiators at the table. I think women tend to be much better negotiators.

When my band was on Atlantic we turned in a record that the president wasn’t all too happy with the singles on it. He offered to bring in a ghost writer, we declined & he went on a tangent about how FTP didn’t write Pumped Up Kicks themselves. He said the guy who did was a phone call away. We still declined & were dropped shortly after our album was released. Still dunno if he was just bullshitting to get us to go along w it.
