That's not true; it's just your belief. Other countries provide grants without creating dependency. People are suffering. While we work on creating jobs, they need support to survive. Neglecting this pushes youth into crime, prostitution, and unwanted pregnancies, fueling the push for abortion legalization. It also drives them toward alcohol and drug abuse, contributing to the challenges of an unproductive youth.

🚨 WARNING TO NAMIBIANS 🚨
The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) just awarded the contract for printing our 2024 election ballots to Ren-Form, a South African company embroiled in a R570 million corruption scandal in Zimbabwe. Yes, you read that right.
Ren-Form is under investigation for price gouging the Zimbabwean Electoral Commission, invoicing them for R23 million on items that should cost R90,000. That’s who is now in charge of printing the most critical tool of our democracy—our ballots! 💀
How can we trust that this process will be fair and free when ECN is handing over our election materials to a company with a history of fleecing countries? It’s Russian Roulette with our democracy, and we’re the ones paying the price!
We deserve answers. We deserve transparency. Namibia, are we just going to sit back and allow this to happen? Demand accountability from ECN! ✊🏽

This should spark some much-needed attention and dialogue!

The PM of Singapore flies economy—no private jet, no entourage—just respect for taxpayers. Meanwhile, in developing nations, leaders cruise in state jets, far removed from the people’s struggles. Leadership isn’t about luxury; it’s about setting an example.

This is awesome to see. I especially love how it's mentioned that we pay for poverty every day and that child poverty alone costs us over $1 trillion a year. I hammer that one so much, I wonder if it helped that get referenced here.

Too often, critics debate a model of UBI no policymaker is seriously discussing, rather than real programs that already work.

UBI follows basic traditional economics, that in providing security to all, citizens can then, concentrate on increasing other forms of consumption or production.
What happened in many advanced economies during the pandemic, inject cash flows, to secure demand & protect supply.
#BasicIncome would grow Canada's businesses tens of billions of dollars a year in capital they can reinvest in expanding and hiring, speeding up Canada's economic recovery.

BIG is a brainchild of the Namibia Tax Consortium (NAMTAX), a government-appointed initiative which aims to alleviate poverty and keep children in school by giving N$100 to each recipient which was piloted in Omitara and Ovitoto.
It has since been discontinued pending reviews.

Goaseb explained that this forced him to risk his life by trespassing in nearby farms in search of wood, which he manages to sell for N$30 a bundle.
This has led to conflict between him and the guards manning these farms, including several instances of assault on his person.
