“Nobody wants to work anymore.” Try explaining to Boomers why getting an entry-level job now feels like auditioning for five different seasons of a TV show.

I’m going back to physical cookbooks because I’m DONE with closing 20 ads, reading your granny’s origin story, and scrolling through an entire memoir before I finally get to the actual recipe.

Paper towel commercials are so fake; it’s always a kid spilling juice, never a cat throwing up on the carpet.

“You hate billionaires, but you want to be rich.” No. I want enough money to live a comfortable, peaceful life and be generous with people around me. Not wealth built on exploitation, hoarding, or treating the planet like it is disposable.

what’s one grocery item you’ve completely stopped buying because the price got so ridiculous you just looked at it and said “OH FUCK THAT BULLSHIT” 😭

In a capitalist economy, if you aren’t born into wealth, your only capital is your labor. Your body becomes a commodity you’re forced to sell just to survive. And if you can’t earn enough to sustain yourself, even that ability begins to slip away.

What I find truly poetic about hippos being one of the deadliest animals on Earth is that they’re herbivores. Completely plant-based. They have no interest in eating you, they just seem to personally hate you on a personal level, and I respect that.

The kid’s school day is structured exactly like an adults work day. 8 hour day, 15 minute break at 10.30 &, 45 minutes for lunch. In the class they must remain focused, still, and "productive" for nothing in particular outside of arbitrary exams and "age range" goals

Any company that forces employees to commute to an office for a job that could be done remotely should have to cover the cost of that commute.

PepsiCo, the parent company of Doritos, lost over $1 billion after raising the price of a bag of Doritos to $6-$7. People stopped buying them. They later lowered the price to recover some of the lost revenue, but sales are still down. Consumers made their choice. I absolutely love that for them.

what sucks is that life could be so easy. so easy. we have enough resources to feed people, house them, and lift them out of poverty. we could distribute those resources fairly and give people room to actually live. instead, millions suffer while a handful of billionaires hoard more wealth than they could ever spend.

employers should be legally required to include salaries in every job listing. no exceptions. it’s ridiculous to spend weeks interviewing for a job only to find out at the end that the pay isn’t even worth it. salary transparency should be the bare minimum.

airbnb owners, if you’re charging me a cleaning fee, i’m not cleaning anything. hotels don’t charge a cleaning fee, and i don’t have to strip the beds, take out the trash, load the dishwasher or wash the towels. why am i paying a fee just to become your unpaid employee?

the fact that billionaires still want more money needs to be studied by the same people who study serial killers.

The whole point of a minimum wage is to ensure ppl can afford a basic standard of living. If someone working full-time still can’t afford rent and food, then the minimum wage has failed at the very thing it was created to do.
