ea not giving bioware the rights back for their games does not shock me considering they did the exact same thing with alice and dead space, they leave franchises to rot when someone else could be making them. actual parasites there’s no other word.

I’m reading the avengers annual that Claremont wrote almost entirely because of how angry Avengers 200 made him lol

Look what you did you idiots, you even got IGN saying something correct.
EA's complete misunderstanding of BioWare's RPG heritage and a desire for mass market, microtransaction-fuelled action games has robbed us of one of the industry's greats. bit.ly/4skXwy5
THIS is pretty cool

I live on the same block as an elementary school and there’s a large wood chipper that a crew is feeding a whole tree into this morning. All the boys are refusing to go into school while they watch it like this
This tweet lays out the coloring issue in modern comic reprints better than any other tweet I’ve seen

Not to mention all collections printed after 2004 of anything from late 1930s to early 2000s are garishly bright, recolored “remasters.” Other than spending hundreds of millions of dollars to get the originals, piracy is the only way to get the original colorings.

Really sad to see all the comic pirating sites getting eliminated one by one. People will really celebrate less accessibility to art for the sake of an industries future

Dear assholes, an Apple Watch isn't a loophole for the keep your phone off during the movie rule. It's still a bright light flashing in my peripheral vision while I'm trying to watch the screen. If anything, it's worse than a phone, since people seem to think they're allowed to leave it on the whole movie, so it will flash notifications even when they aren't looking at it. No screens on during the movie, period. An adult shouldn't need to be told this
Unpopular opinion: this same level of critical analysis re: fascism on Batman yields very similar results.
The Chuds found this so I'll point out what's blaringly obvious to anyone who loves this movie and has media literacy above that of a 12 year old.
The humans and the bugs are ultimately not that different, especially by the end. Your defenses - the bugs are worse, the bugs started it - do not withstand a look at the text.
The teacher at the beginning (Rue McClanahan from Golden Girls lol) expresses admiration for the bugs - they're selfless, brave, don't know about death, collectivist. Denise Richards raises a reasonable objection, that humans have created art, and she laughs at the idea.
Even if the bugs sent the asteroid, the humans end up using Horten Ho 229s to bomb entire planets.
Neil Patrick Harris uses the same power as the brainbug - he's psychically guiding subordinates through the tunnels. The mobile infantry loses individuation and will power and exist only to die and kill, like the soldier bugs.
Then, at the end, the humans do the exact same thing the brain bug - they penetrate the brain of the brainbug with a symbolic phallus to learn how it fights to make its "race" easier to kill.
The movie is not "fascism is kind of cool when it's against genocidal bugs" because the government seen here is incompetent, ideologically deranged, helped start the war. The movie is "fascists, even if they come up against literal bugs, end up transforming dumb sexy Dawson's Creek kids into bugs."

EA buying a company that does a cool thing, making them do something not in their wheelhouse after forcibly restructuring them, and then blowing the company up when it fails has been a thing they've done forever, C&C fans have been on the fuck EA train since 2002.

As someone who was intent on Supporting the Industry, and now owns so many comics that when I combined households with my wife they become A Problem:
Buy some comics, pirate the rest. Stoke that fire for comics in your soul.
