If the vehicles in Newfoundland were required to have a front plate, this would be an easy case.
Placentia-Whitbourne RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance identifying the driver of a vehicle reported to police for dangerous operation on Friday afternoon. Earlier today, police received a report of a white Honda sedan (possibly an Accord) traveling eastbound on the Trans-Canada Highway, east of Bellevue on August 21 around 1:00 p.m.. The vehicle was observed passing where it was unsafe to do so and nearly collided with oncoming traffic. The caller was able to provide officers with dash camera footage of the incident. Police are investigating and are asking for the public’s assistance identifying the vehicle and driver. Anyone who witnessed a white Honda sedan driving in an unsafe manner on the eastbound Trans-Canada Highway in this area Monday afternoon, including anyone with dash camera footage, is asked to contact Placentia-Whitbourne RCMP as soon as possible at (709) 759-2600, or by calling 1-800-709-RCMP (7267).
