DAY 105: IS FOLLOWING MORMONISM THE SAME AS VISITING A PSYCHIC? In the United States, a very successful celebrity psychic or medium annually earns over $5 million. A reasonably successful psychic makes $500,000. And if those celebrity psychics keep it up, one day their combined income might come close to Mormonism’s earnings of $22 million PER DAY! Is it harsh to compare Mormonism to psychics? Well, psychics claim to have new information (new revelations) for us. They also say they can predict the future. How about Mormonism? From their founder Joseph Smith on through today, Mormonism has professed that their prophets, like their founder, routinely receive so-called new revelations from God, for us. And Mormonism claims Smith and the other prophets have been able to predict the future. Of course, their track record is as bad as that of psychics. Still, Mormonism rakes in $22 million per day as they rip people off, just like the psychics do. In Deuteronomy 18, God tells us not to have anything to do with spiritists and mediums, which includes modern-day psychics and Mormonism.

DAY 102: HAVE SUCCESSFUL PREDICTIONS OF THE FUTURE ONLY BEEN THROUGH GOD IN HIS BIBLE? [1 of 3] Yes! Bible prophecy is overwhelming evidence for the divine origin of the Bible. But what do we hear in the Christian Church today? With their lack of covering it, the vast majority of pastors project some sort of feeling like, “Please don’t make me learn Bible prophecy, which is full of wacko conspiracy theories and the last thing I need to preach.” Completely contradicting that idea, God says this right at the beginning of the prophetic book of Revelation: “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it (Revelation 1:3).” All God’s Word is a blessing, but what He promising those who read Revelation amounts to a triple blessing. And with study of prophecy, we’re immediately blessed by the unveiling of Jesus Christ. Don’t we want to know more about Jesus and be reminded every day that our story on earth ends with us winning? Don’t we want to be reminded every day that He’s coming back, this old earth with all its evils will soon be gone forever, and we get to be part of the Christ’s millennial kingdom, as well as the new heaven and earth to follow? Who would not want to hear about that!?

DAY 99: DOES GOD THE FATHER HAVE A PHYSICAL BODY? Genesis tells us man was created in the “image” of God, so some twist the idea to claim God the Father has a body. But that is not what the Bible is talking about. That false assertion comes from corrupt sources outside the Bible. Our being made in God’s image is not referring to a physical body because God the Father does not have a body. John 4:24 tells us, “God is Spirit.” We are not made in His image bodily! Instead, it is both morally and spiritually. Besides God giving humans some understanding of His morality, like Him we were also given a spirit that we will continue to use for our existence through the rest of eternity. The latter is why all of mankind, throughout every age, will exist forever. However, because of our God-given free will to choose whether we love or reject our Creator, by our own individual choice, each of our dwelling spots after this life on earth will be forever in one of only two places—with God or away from Him— heaven or hell. Because we have an eternal nature, one or the other will be the future for us, our ancestors, and our descendants. There is no annihilation after this life, as some false religions and cults teach. We are wonderfully made in God’s image, both morally and spiritually.

DAY 98: WHAT DOES TEXAS HAVE TO DO WITH BIBLE PROPHECY? As already mentioned, God prophesied the rise and fall of nations, and Jesus alone fulfilled over 300 accurate predictions, including being born of a virgin and through the seed of Abraham, as well as having his hands pierced, something God predicted even before the Romans had invented crucifixion. The odds of only eight specifically predicted events coming true—let alone 300—is exactly the same as this analogy: Let’s say we cover all of Texas three feet deep in silver dollars, mark one with a red X, and randomly mix it in somewhere across the state. Next, we blindfold a guy, have him choose a place to start, and make him wade through coins, having only one blind pick to choose the right coin with the X. What would you say his chances are? Mathematically, those are the exact odds of only eight prophecies coming true. Again, Jesus actually fulfilled 300 that God gave us in advance. With that in mind, can you see the tragedy of keeping this information from people, including Christians? Because society does not know, learn, or teach Bible prophecy, is it any wonder people these days are skeptical about the veracity of the Bible? Praise God for Bible prophecy, which drills into our heads the fact that Jesus is coming back and that no one has a brighter future than Christians. By God’s Bible prophecy, we can be encouraged with each of the 2500 times God gives predictions to prove the Bible came from Him (again, 2000 have come true and 500 are lining up right now). Do you see what all people, including most Christians, are missing because they are not taught basic Bible prophecy? I mean, give me a break! How much more proof do we need?!

DAY 96: SHOULD THE BIBLE BE OUR ONE SOURCE OF AUTHORITY ON THIS PLANET? [1 of 2] Yes! And Christians need to keep that truth! Don’t just give the idea lip service, have it on your website, or make it just one more doctrinal statement. Praise God that we can stick to that truth and never be steered wrong. Take it, cherish it, and hold tight to it! Instead of an empty statement, this truth has to drive our behavior. Many people, including professing Christians, do not follow the dictates of the Bible for what they believe and how they behave. Instead, they more value their own personal opinions, as well as those from secular society, the educational system, the media, and their friends. In practice, those are what people really believe in. But all that is just a hodgepodge of things from a fallen society; instead, we should take direction from God’s Word in the Bible. Just keep your path clean and pure with God because He never gets it wrong. Stick to the Bible as your only source of authority.

DAY 92: WHAT LIES BEYOND THE GRAVE? One second after you die—the first minute into eternity—you will find out. If there’s one universal truth in life, it has to be this: We all wonder what lies beyond the grave. Is it the end of our existence or the beginning of eternal bliss? Is it something to be fearful of or look forward to? And even though most people seem to be in the dark on this, one thing is for sure, your first minute into eternity, you will find out. To prepare you for eternity before it’s too late, our study One Second After You Die takes a look at the four basic questions concerning eternal matters. 1. Is There Life After Death? 2. DAY 91: DO YOU EXPERIENCE GOD’S FRUIT? While taking a hard look at their lives, Christians read the Bible and often think: “What is going on? Something is missing here. Why do other Christians get to have an amazing walk with Jesus Christ, while I’m fumbling in the dark? I seem to have a fruitless life.” Here’s the good news: It doesn’t have to be that way! Our study Experiencing God’s Fruit takes a look at the various aspects of daily obedience to God which are needed to have a fruitful walk with Christ. You will learn the importance of having an obedience that is instant, appreciative, consecrated, unquestionable, individual, and consistent. It’s not that hard to figure out. If we want to live lives like the Christians in our history who did amazing things for God, we need to do something about it! We must be fruitful. We’ve got to be obedient to God each day. Otherwise, we’re just wasting time.
