Let’s look at the Texas Rangers. Last 102 games of 2023: 50-52 2024: 78-84 2025: 81-81 2026: 60-63 That’s 269-280. It’s just not good and there is little expectation that anything will change.Thx for the WS for sure. Dreams of a dynasty ruined by CY. @RightOnRangers

I was there with @WillFlanigin and it was fast and furious. I believe he connected Donaldson as well!

So this is crazy: Everyone remembers that Mariano Rivera was the last player to wear #42 because he was grandfathered in when it was retired and went on to have a long and famous career, but did you know who was the last player to be issued #42 for the first time? This Man 👇👇
Replying to @notgaetti
Marc Sagmoen. Texas Rangers. The last player ISSUED number 42. Issued that number prior to the first Jackie Robinson Day earlier in the day.

Possible Veteran’s committee ballot at least???
Not enough people talk about Michael Young: • .300/.346/.441 (.787 OPS) • 7x ASG, AL Shortstop GG (2008) • 2375 H, 686 XBH, 1137 R, 1030 RBI • 6 seasons with 200+ hits (5 in a row!) • 2x hit leader, 2005 AL batting title (.331) • Moved from 2B (2000-03) to SS (2004-08) to 3B (2009-10) to DH (2011-12) to accommodate other players and put the Texas Rangers in the best position to win. Posted 200-hit seasons at multiple positions, made All-Star teams at multiple positions. Per Baseball-Reference, Young's most similar batters are the criminally underrated Ray Durham and first-ballot Hall of Famer Joe Mauer.* While Mauer sailed into Cooperstown, Young received just 2.1% of the vote on his only HOF ballot appearance in 2019. *In fact, among Young's top 10 most-similar batters, 5 are Hall of Famers; the remaining 5 range from somewhat underrated to criminally underrated.

Hey @notgaetti Can we talk about Kurt Bevacqua’s career 27 HRs and .632 ops (1971-1985), then talk about his absurd 1985 WS? 17 AB 2 HRs 1.327 OPS

When DJ passed, he was coach of the Austin Toros, now the Austin Spurs. Back in 2006 or so, he signed several cards for me and my kids. Later, he was posthumously inducted into the HOF. I decided to send some cards to Beckett. I splurged for the auto grade. @CardPurchaser

Can’t remember the exact year, around 1984, I sat in the very last row in left field with a buddy. Larry Parrish proceeded to hit the longest HR I’d ever seen hit in Arlington Stadium. Hit just a few rows in front of my feet. How long would that be? Any experts out there?
