π’ After a five-year journey, our paper is finally out in Advanced Science!
A large literature on innovation asks how new ideas, technologies and products become widely adopted. But how do people detach from an innovation, and why does that sometimes happen almost overnight? π§΅
Taken together, our results suggest that social influence may matter not only for how innovations spread and grow, but also for how they decline and disappear β and may help us understand why some seemingly well-established innovations can suddenly collapse.
π Deeply grateful to my wonderful collaborators: @chingjin120, Chaoming Song, Johannes Bjelland, @UzziLeadership and @dashunwang.
