Proper shops are so much more fun than internet shopping. Big shame that a trip to City with all its hustle and bustle has lost its appeal. As people we are social creatures and we thrive on interaction with others. You just don’t get that online. #builtenvironment

Was looking forward to a new @TheRealBerghaus jacket, but the delivery has been totally screwed up by @EVRi_Delivery the delivery company from hell. Berghaus customer service perfectly unhelpful. Order will be cancelled. Back to proper shop shopping for me. – at Penarth, Wales

Hmm.. a lot resting on the canal transforming that end of Cardiff. A big ask especially for the shopping centre and TBH it would be better converted to create apartments that would bring more people and custom into the centre. #builtenvironment – at Penarth, Wales
Cardiff's £13m plan that might just save Queen Street and the city's dead shopping centre which 'couldn't get any worse' bit.ly/3U1Y09Q

A beautiful logic to this, one that could result in community led regeneration. Surely the very best way to make the city more attractive at the same time helping to relieve the housing crisis. A more attractive city, attracts more people, business and income for the council. – at Penarth, Wales
If the city council in Cork can't do up their properties themselves & from the amount of council owned boarded up houses they clearly can't then give them back to the community to do up & turn back to homes Same applies across #DerelictIreland

Guardian angels is a new one but we'll take it 😉😉 I do know we love the city & can't stand by & let it be destroyed through a lack of vision, poor governance, dereliction, wasted potential & lack of accountability & transparency #DerelictIreland #HeritageMatters #DerelictCork
A real Saturday treat, brunch with @frank_oconnor & @judesherry who in essence are the guardian angels of the City of Corks derelict architectural heritage.

The parched Earth and the majestic tree. If we want a #sustainable #builtenvironment we need to act much faster and with genuine conviction to combat the #ClimateEmergency.

So sad that #Ukraine️ can’t host next years #Eurovision but I know Kievdiff as a host city would pull out all the stops to ensure our Capital would deliver an exceptional event for our #Ukrainian friends.

No way can @McDonalds justify this total disregard for the environment. It’s shameful, lazy, planet wrecking behaviour. My tweet will make 0 difference because they won’t care or change their behaviour in any meaningful way either nationally or internationally. #ClimateEmergency
As long as companies like @McDonalds are removing urban trees and replacing them with plastic grass we’re screwed. We’ve got to stop doing this. @WoodlandTrust

This “wake-up” call will fail to bring about the changes needed to combat the #ClimateEmergency and we’re totally unprepared for a hotter future. Our amazing planet can sustainably provide everything we need, but for this to happen we need to dramatically change how we live now.

It’s 2022 and still too many homes are too poorly insulated. It means day after day people are paying for and wasting energy. Failing to take the climate emergency seriously will come at an exceptional cost. #builtenvironment #ClimateCrisis theguardian.com/environment/…

He should have said- “we’ve failed over the last decade to develop a green, sustainable energy strategy for the UK so instead we’ll add even more nuclear waste for generations to come to deal with”. This is an appalling decision. #BuiltEnvironment

Totally sickening. All Governments must call out these war crimes by the Russian invaders in #Ukraine. This war will end, #Putin will be defeated, he and all those responsible for these atrocities must be put on trial.
Russians knew exactly what they were doing when they tied and shot civilians. When they disposed of men like garbage, tortured and raped.

Would I move to France just to live in a house? For this one- oh yes, and absolutely no need for any “improvements.” By comparison, today mainstream domestic architecture in the UK seems by and large to be totally devoid of any real architecture. #BuiltEnvironment #architecture
Looking for a retro time capsule? This 1960s Abraham and Rol modern house in Neuilly-Plaisance, near Paris, France is for you. Especially if you are a photographer, as it also includes a huge studio space. bit.ly/3thzh6S
