From Karl Streed - I BET YOU DIDN'Y KNOW ABOUT THIS: AFTER FLIGHT 77 HIT THE PENTAGON ON 9/11, THE FOLLOWING HAPPENED. A daycare facility inside the Pentagon had many children, including infants who were in heavy cribs. The daycare supervisor, looking at all the children they needed to evacuate, was in a panic over what they could do. There were many children, mostly toddlers, as well as the infants who would need to be taken out with the cribs. There was no time to try to bundle them into carriers and strollers. Just then a young Marine came running into the center and asked what they needed. After hearing what the center director was trying to do, he ran back out into the hallway and disappeared. The director thought, "Well, here we are, on our own." About 2 minutes later, that Marine returned with 40 other Marines in tow. Each of them grabbed a crib with a child, and the rest started gathering up toddlers. The director and her staff then helped them take all the children out of the center and down toward the park near the Potomac . Once they got about 3/4 of a mile outside the building, the Marines stopped in the park, and then did a fabulous thing - they formed a circle with the cribs, which were quite sturdy and heavy, like the covered wagons in the Old West. Inside this circle of cribs, they put the toddlers, to keep them from wandering off. Outside this circle were the 40 Marines, forming a perimeter around the children and waiting for instructions. There they remained until the parents could be notified and come get their children. The chaplain then said, "I don't think any of us saw nor heard of this on any of the news stories of the day. It was an incredible story of our men there.” There wasn't a dry eye in the room. The thought of those Marines and what they did and how fast they reacted; could we expect any less from them? It was one of the most touching stories from the Pentagon. It's the military, not the politicians that ensures our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It's the military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag. If you care to offer the smallest token of recognition and appreciation for the military, please pass this on and pray for our men and women, who have served and are currently serving our country, and honor the memory of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice! God Bless The USA! Never forget!!!

The account of 40 Marines rushing to evacuate Pentagon daycare children in cribs and form a protective perimeter like covered wagons on 9/11 is a debunked fictional story that first circulated years later. snopes.com/fact-check/pen… nps.gov/gwmp/learn/his… congress.gov/congressional-…

While Trump dodged the draft, Robert Mueller volunteered for the Marines after graduating Princeton. He was awarded a Bronze Star with combat V, rescuing a wounded Marine while under fire. He was later shot in the thigh, awarded a Purple Heart, and returned to lead his platoon.

A final piece of advice from Holly Butcher - written the day before she passed away from cancer at just 27: “It’s a strange thing knowing you’re going to die young. At 26, I thought I had time… To fall in love. Start a family. Grow old. But cancer doesn’t care about plans. Now, I understand how fragile life really is. Every single day is a gift, not a guarantee. I’m not writing this to scare you. I’m writing to remind you: really live. Stop stressing over little things. Be kind to your body- move it, nourish it, stop criticizing it. One day you’ll wish you had appreciated it. Go outside. Look at the sky. Feel the sun. Just be. Spend less time chasing “stuff” - more time making memories. Don’t skip moments with people you love. Laugh more. Write a note. Tell someone you love them. Complain less. Give more. Helping others brings more joy than anything you can buy. Be present. Put your phone down. Show up - really show up. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a perfect body, or a perfect life. Just follow what makes your heart light up. Say no to what drains you. Make changes when you need to. And please - donate blood. I wouldn’t have had that extra year without it. And that year gave me memories I’ll hold close… forever. Thank you for reading this. Live your life well. And maybe… we’ll meet again someday.” Holly 🩷 Repost & share Holly’s important advice. ❤️

My 13 year old Daughter died from #BrainCancer 5,504 days ago. 💔 I would LOVE to see my Ashley’s name 5,504 times in comments for all the days she’s been missing. When you lose a Child, the most beautiful word you can hear is their name. ❤️ A Repost & Follow would mean the world to us to keep our Ashley’s story alive. 💜 𝒜𝓈𝒽𝓁𝑒𝓎 💜

Rossiter-Ewers Press Release To the query: Why was 2019 significant? Every season for Mets fans is significant, especially when considering how they’ve suffered mightily through the years yet always believe that hope springs eternal. Ya Gotta. The Last Scorecard – Rossiter-Ewers Publishing The Last Scorecard and 2019 differ. The author, a transplanted Queens native and former sportswriter, shifts gears midway through the campaign. Planning to bring his lifelong friends along for the ride for a superstitiously perceived championship year, Angus Quinton Kerr realizes he is covering his favorite team for the final time. Spring would hold no hope. @Mets The Last Scorecard – Rossiter-Ewers Publishing Undertaken in solitude halfway across the nation, The Last Scorecard is a coming-of-age tale, a maturation process from being one of the boys of summer to retiring from an assignment wishing never to look back. Emotionally wrapped in game summaries and agate box scores, Angus’ account wraps up another season of disappointment. From the questionable guidance of the trio of chief operating officer, general manager and manager to Pete Alonso’s record-setting rookie year and Jacob deGrom’s second consecutive Cy Young performance, another summer is lost to the baseball gods despite a ton of untapped potential. The Last Scorecard – Rossiter-Ewers Publishing The game changed in a way the author didn’t anticipate nor desire. And there is only one way he could say goodbye. Turn on the radio, mockup a homemade scorecard and keep tabs one last time. @Mets The Last Scorecard – Rossiter-Ewers Publishing A must read for every diehard Mets fan. Available only at Rossiter-Ewers . com

This is the single most amazing political as I’ve ever seen. And I’m a media historian. I’ve seen them all.
Can we get 500 retweets on this? This is one hell of an ad from the Democrat running for US Senate in North Dakota. The question is whether people will watch it and share it.
