This is the release I've been waiting to ship. 🥹 BitSong started as a way to put music on-chain — but music without people is just files. Today it finally feels like a player where you can find your tribe. Follow an artist. Support them directly. No middlemen. 🎧
1/5 🎧 Big drop on BitSong. You can now Follow your favorite artists — and build a community around the music you love. The social music player just got a lot more social. 🧵

That's true! 100% agree!
Your TV is always listening to you and selling the data to advertisers. Hack your TV, reclaim your privacy.

Railway has been turbo pwned, I'm freaking out because hackers have access to decrypted ENV variables and I asked Claude to help but- NOPE. NOT CLAUDE. The most dangerous part of this ecosystem is @anthropic and their ridiculous moralizing.

Do you realize what happened in the last 48 hours? PHP: two critical pre-auth RCEs. The bug path dates back to 2012. Node.js: remote code execution through Brotli. Railway: customer secrets possibly decrypted. Every deploy paused. A trusted CA: keys so weak some were single-digit numbers. Missed for 18 months, through two audits. AI is finding bugs faster than we can patch. It's only going to get worse. Are we ready for this?

As the founder of a web hosting company, I can tell you CZ isn't paranoid. This is one of the most dangerous PHP bugs I've seen. Crypto folks: a hacked website can serve a wallet drainer. Don't sign anything you didn't expect, and verify every address PHP runs 69% of websites whose server language is known. WordPress alone powers 39.6% of all websites. If you run PHP, update today!
Call me paranoid, but be extra careful visiting ANY web site in the next few days, as some web admins are not always up-to-date with security patches. Two vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) reported for PHP, the web programming language, affecting servers running popular apps like WordPress and Magento, with patches released October 21, 2026 after details leaked early. Exploitation was confirmed in the wild soon after disclosure, prompting quick WAF protections and patching by IT teams, as unauthenticated attacks could turn visited sites into vectors for credential theft or device exploits. Stay SAFU!

A $100K advance for five albums is this week's debate. For independent artists the bigger question isn't the size of the check, it's who controls the catalog and who sees the numbers. On BitSong you publish your own songs and podcasts, no label in between, and fans support you directly in $BTSG, now bridgeable to @base

First US prison sentence for AI music royalty fraud: $8M+ collected with AI tracks and fake accounts. Streaming payouts have no way to prove who made a song or whether anyone listened. Provenance and transparent splits on-chain aren't a nice-to-have, they're the fix. That's what we're building at BitSong
🎵 A North Carolina man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after prosecutors say he used AI-generated songs and thousands of fake accounts to collect more than $8 million in music royalties. The DOJ says it's the first criminal case involving AI music fraud. #TruthSocial #TruthPlus #AI #Music #Fraud

Perplexity just open-sourced SPACE: a Firecracker microVM per agent task, plus an E2B-compatible layer. Same bet I made with vmsan. Firecracker + an E2B-compatible API is becoming the default shape for agent sandboxes. I'm rewriting vmsan from scratch with everything I learned. More soon...
We're open sourcing SPACE, the sandbox platform that runs every task in Perplexity Computer. SPACE gives each agent task its own Firecracker microVM and controls credentials and outbound traffic from outside the VM. Available now under Apache 2.0: github.com/perplexityai/SPAC…

Imagine the Italy Pirate Law (pezzotto) that can enforce every provider to take down Internet! @vercel @Cloudflare @rauchg Please fight to protect Internet!!
‼️ BREAKING: We're in contact with the Revolut hacker. According to them, they didn't only take Revolut data, they've also compromised multiple Italian law enforcement departments. They say the operation targeting Revolut ran for six months, and that they used Italian law enforcement systems to send data requests to Revolut. They claim to hold 147 GB taken from the Italian side, including internal docs, calendars and personal material, among it the chat logs of a federal officer arguing with his wife.

I really recommending reading this. In summary, a company which does ID verification for in-person interactions (hotels, car rentals, ID verification for alcohol or marijuana, etc) has some how exposed over 153,000,000 drivers licenses for people in the United States and Canada. It is a catastrophic data breach, probably one of the worse I've ever seen. If you're in the United States and have traveled, gotten a hotel, purchased marijuana or alcohol, there is a high probability you're in this. Unlike other breaches, this includes a photo of the person (from the license), making verification you've identified the person significantly easier. This poses a significant threat to celebrities (musicians, YouTubers, streamers, adult entertainers, actors, etc), politicians, lawyers, wealthy people (CEOs, investors, people of public interest), Law Enforcement Officers, etc Krebs himself, and several other security researchers, have already confirmed they're in the data leak. tl;dr gah damn dawg this company is going to be sued into oblivion krebsonsecurity.com/2026/09/…

Nobody should control your activity! Long live open-weight! I'm 100% sure I didn't commit any Cyber Abuse! In fact, I appealed right away and @OpenAI acknowledged that it was their mistake. Now I'm really angry! It's unacceptable that we programmers have to rely on these companies! It's unacceptable that Americans now have to control every line of your code and decide whether you committed Cyber Abuse or not!

Replying to @rawkode
i’ve yet to see compelling evidence that not reading the code works. i’d be happy to be proven wrong.

TypeScript 8.0 will be in rust?
The release of TypeScript 7.0 is officially live! 🚀 I'm very excited to see this in action.  It's going to be a massive boost for large-scale codebases like @deel has. The TS team spent the last year rewriting the core compiler in 𝗚𝗼. The numbers are wild: ⚡ 8x to 12x faster compilation speeds. ⚡ VS Code project load times cut from 60 seconds to 10 seconds. ⚡ Massive memory usage reductions on heavy codebases. Migrating from TypeScript 6 to 7 should be seamless, especially if your codebase is already modernized. The hardest lifting, such as deprecating the ES5 target and turning 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵: 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦 into a hard default, was handled in TypeScript 6. TypeScript 7 primarily focuses on raw performance, delivering up to a 10x faster compile time by using the new Go-based engine (tsgo).
