STATEMENT: BJIM is deeply concerned by alleged assaults on at least 2 on-duty journalists at Dhaka’s Sayedabad Bus Terminal. Authorities must promptly probe it, ensure accountability, and guarantee journalists’ safety while carrying out their work.

#Bangladesh: CPJ urges Bangladeshi authorities to investigate the alleged assault on journalist Milan Tripura by army personnel in Khagrachari. Those responsible must be held accountable.
Tripura, a correspondent for DBC News, was covering a protest on July 17 when he was allegedly beaten and forced to delete footage by security forces.
