Well, it was definitely a mistake by Lurie to give Chip complete personnel control in '15. And the last 12 seasons felt like an overcorrection (plus Howie having a vice grip on personnel control to prevent himself from losing power again). The thing is, I don't think any potential HC candidate for 2027 would want COMPLETE personnel control anyway β€” but I'm sure they'd want to provide some input on who to sign, draft, or keep, based on team/scheme needs. I would hope that Howie has let go of some of his paranoia over control within the organization, but I could also see him justifying his current position with the fact that Philly has been to 3 Super Bowls and won 2 within the last decade with this current FO/HC power structure.

It’s honestly insane how much Lurie/Howie allow the Chip Kelly tenure to impact how they move today. It was over a decade ago. And not many people have the ego/control issues/interpersonal issues that a guy like Chip had. It’s not a one size fits all type of situation.

It usually doesn't matter if you're "making an objective observation", once you describe the body part in question as "small", most people will react as if you said "that ain't big enough for me." And preferences can be informed through porn, sure, but other preferences might simply be formed through trial and error β€” finding what you like and DON'T like, what feels good to YOU.
