Europe was hot for a few days and a lot of people... drowned? Learn to swim. It's going to get hotter. And a lot wetter.

Gödels grandmothers disagree
Not only do Gödel's incompleteness theorems demonstrate the inherent limitations of formalism in the sciences—they also by implication demonstrate the inherent limitations of any literal physical instantiations of such formalisms—i.e. modern day computers and artificial intelligence. So just as logic/mathematics/statistics can never truly be the essence of science, the Cartesian machine architectures of today—whether they be symbolic or neural—can never truly ever fully replicate the capabilities of the human mind.

Oscillatory bench work continues. We build towards a full 1024 coupled oscillator system to determine if the vacuum of space adheres to our mathematical model of a dynamic vacuum of coupled oscillators.
Oscillator bench progress: Dynamic control milestone confirmed. With both ADF4351 lock LEDs on, the OLED/Pico firmware toggled ADF2 between BASE and SHIFTED states while ADF1 remained fixed. The SA612 IF output changed visibly in sync with the firmware state.

been thinking a lot about wibwob-dos color palettes... this kind of CGA vibe seems to be the only logical option. as an early 90s MS-DOS gamer it still does something to my brain.

i wanna share these scenes and my worries and sorrow but then i self censor, dreading the attacks by the right in favor of war or the left in favor of Muslim clerics i am sitting with my friends realizing that we have no public safe space to share our thoughts : reject a violent government AND reject another violent one or two polarities of nonsense our voices are pushed to the undergrounds we reject violence beyond politics and partisanship. why does anyone care to silence us?

If you don't understand how this happened, the next few years are going to be a real mindfuck. Emergence. Get used to it.
This is a bacterial flagellar motor … one of nature’s most sophisticated molecular machines - a rotary motor embedded in the cell membrane consisting of ~25-30 protein types totaling 20,000-50,000 atoms in a multi-part structure of rotor, stator, drive shaft, and propeller. Operating at 100-300 Hz (6,000-18,000 RPM) with some species reaching 1,700 Hz (~100,000 RPM) at nearly 100% efficiency, this nanoscale engine features rotor proteins FliG/FliM/FliN forming the C-ring, MotA/MotB stator complexes, FlgG rod protein drive shaft, FliC flagellin propeller filament, and FlgE hook proteins acting as a universal joint, all powered by proton or sodium flow across the membrane generating torque through conformational changes in the stator complexes.
