yeah this is not that uncommon for young adults
its so fucking over
there is so many people in the replies saying having 2000 bucks isnt broke. theyre acting like having 2000 dollars in your account is actually some huge accomplishment.
I grew up poor as fuck and im still relatively poor and own no large assets (a house, a car newer than 1999) but i would be extremely scared and miserable if I only had 2000 dollars in my account, especially as a student.
is the average person actually this fucked? the replies are insane. what is going on?!
bro needs to pack it up already what is the obsession 💀💀
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney says Valve "has held gaming back for years."
Sweeney was replying to Kiaran Ritchie, a former principal animation programmer at Epic, who criticized Steam's 30% cut and said "You could vibe code a Steam alternative in a week." Sweeney wrote that Valve locks developers' PC games into "Steamworks' social walled garden where players can't talk to other players on iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, or even other PC stores."
A community note was added saying many games use Steamworks only for authentication to allow crossplay and handle the rest themselves. Sweeney called the note "fake," saying Steam Datagram Relay "isn't related to the things I cited: social, and players talking to each other across platforms."

Bob Ross is actually a perfect example to show why art lovers are unimpressed by AI art. Bob Ross is not famous for his paintings. He is famous for his videos in which he showed *how* he made his paintings. The process matters!
theres nobody I know that is more happy about replaced by AI than programmers
Peter Molyneux says the games industry is basically pretending it doesn’t use AI.
“We, as the industry, are pretending we’re not using AI,” he said, arguing that it’s now “almost impossible to code” without AI assistance.
He claims devs can often avoid Steam’s AI disclosure by simply not ticking the AI box, despite using AI tools for coding.
Molyneux also believes AI could become one of the biggest creative advances for studios once the industry moves beyond low-quality “AI slop.”
people thought steak was gatekeeping AI but all they have done is require an AI disclosure and that's it
Valve says a “significant number” of employees are working on Steam’s growing visibility problem as the platform becomes increasingly crowded with new releases.
The company also says it won’t gatekeep games made with AI.
“We don’t want to be gatekeepers telling developers which tools they should or shouldn’t use.”
Valve wants to improve Steam’s discovery systems so good games can still stand out in an increasingly crowded store.
real reason why the ai bubble burst in china 💀
