First of all, thank you for everybody who’s reached out this past week and checked on me… it’s been a rough one. There’s no easy way to say it, still a little bit in disbelief but last Sunday I lost all on my crypto. They didn’t get my NFT’s … but they got me for everything else I’d worked for and saved over the past couple of years. Thinking by spending my savings and cash reserves and keeping everything else I earned on Chain because I believe in the future of this industry. You never think it’s gonna be you and I’ll be the first one to tell you It’s your responsibility for self custody… I encourage everybody to do some OPSEC Thank you @Kingpickle & @freshout_ being quick to act and I was able to save the my NFTs & KP bought me a Ledger Nano I picked up in person at Best Buy🙌. They got me for 76k. What’s been bothering me is, I did all of the things you need to do when you’re robbed. I filed the reports & tether could of stopped the money by blacklisting the new wallet that all my money was transferred to after they swapped into USDT (KP helped me put together a doc within an hour of the incident) the funds sat there for over 2 days. The police sent the email to compliance and still nothing was done… They didn’t just take my money. They took something much harder to replace…my sense of feeling safe, a little of my confidence, and a piece of the pride I have in what I do. They made me question my judgment I had operating in this space for the past 5 years. The financial loss hurts, but the deeper loss was to my peace of mind… and if you really know me, you know that’s my most valuable possession. I took the week and got all that back! The comeback arc starts now…
