I forgot that you can’t write about something while grinding and working, bc doing so automatically puts me in a "victim mindset." And, apparently, by bringing up a problem and answering "why" it exists, I’m supposedly demanding that everything be handed to me for free.
This whole 'will we ever see women in t1' discussion pisses me off so much. There is no dicussion. Its a problem deeply rooted in society, it starts very early not magically in gaming, and as long as there is people with strange mindsets in powerfull positions nothing will change

there's SO much depth that goes into it that these people will just simply never understand because they 1. don't talk to women and 2. see them as lesser than them the opportunities for women and girls are so minimal, largely because men don't see them as equals, and then when those opportunities DO come around, the amount of pressure placed on them to perform not just for themselves but for their ENTIRE GENDER is insane so many times you hear of women even in ranked saying they feel like if they have a bad game they're letting their entire gender down - imagine this in professional valorant with fans and the pressure that comes with MULTIPLE times women get rejected from teams because "we can't trust our male players to either respect them or to not fall in love with them" then when a woman is successful in any way shape or form, it's called an exception and she just got lucky literally no winning until there's actually a real change in the mentality of men, not just the outwardly misogynistic ones but ALL men - it only takes one guy in a team of 5 to be misogynistic and the entire team is a write off for a woman

the best? When you are taught from the very start that you will never be the best because of the simple fact that you are born a woman. Many girls quit their path before they even started it. We lose so much talent because of that.

GC at least helps young girls and women to learn, grow and probably the most important thing: to see there is women that compete. To find role models. Representation matters.
