It’s a brand new tax for about one-quarter of B.C. employers (i.e. not offset by elimination of MSP premiums). #CFIB survey of biz owners: almost 2/3 say it will affect wages. Almost half say they will have to increase prices, close to half say they will have to reduce staff.
Some small businesses in B.C. say they have to either cut staff or raise prices under the new tax, or risk closing down entirely.
