the reason your mixdowns take forever is because you are running through a checklist. real mix engineers work hourly and work micro to macro to get the best quality in the shortest period of time.
i used to have so much time to test random plugins, max for live devices, url daws... im so busy trying to pay bills 50% of my creative workflow is just on a to do list. i used to have time to see a new plugin dl it and try it out. this is fucking wild.

yall will never get good at mixing if you dont understand your ears are not surgical instruments. they evolved to help us run away and hear our children crying. recognize water sources...

We partnered with Suhail to create the brand identity for his new company, Particle.
1/ Excited to announce our new company Particle
This is our first step in a series of models focused on developers.
With particle-1, we focused on token efficiency and managed to keep parity in performance while using ~45% fewer tokens.

I understand the utility in this economy to use a look for drums. The thing is. If you want a mix that competes with the market. Those songs that have you scratching your head. They used individual drum sounds. Then eqed the drums to other elements in the song.
If you use drum loops from splice try to use ones that involve instruments that are in the same frequency range for example a hi hat loop.
