Life has a strange way of teaching us what really matters. The older I get, the more I understand that the true value of life isn’t found in one particular achievement, one relationship, one success or one moment. It’s in all of it. It’s in waking up and knowing you have another day. It’s in the people we meet, the conversations we have, the places we go, the things we accomplish and the things we don’t. It’s in laughter and sadness, excitement and disappointment, certainty and doubt. It’s in the ordinary days as much as the extraordinary ones. Life is constantly moving. Nothing stays the same. People change. Circumstances change. We change. And perhaps we’re not supposed to spend our lives trying to hold everything exactly as it was. We’re here to experience it, learn from it, grow through it and, hopefully, become better because of it. I’ve learned that even the difficult moments have something to give us. Recently, I experienced a relationship that broke down. It was something I cared about deeply, and naturally, there was hurt in losing it. But when I look back, I don’t want to reduce that experience to how it ended. It was a part of my life. It was real. It mattered. It taught me something. It changed the way I see certain things and, ultimately, changed me for the better. And that isn’t just true of love. It’s true of life itself. We lose things. We gain things. We make mistakes. We get things right. We fall down and somehow find the strength to stand back up. We have moments when everything makes sense and moments when it doesn’t make sense at all. There is something incredibly powerful about simply being here. Having another morning. Another conversation. Another opportunity. Another chance to learn something, to help someone, to create something, to laugh, to love, to change direction, or simply to appreciate the fact that for this brief period of time, we are here. We are all temporary. Every person we meet is temporary. Every chapter is temporary. Every happiness, every sadness, every success and every failure eventually becomes part of the past. And maybe that’s what makes it all so precious. We are moments in one another’s worlds. Some moments last years. Some last days. Some last only seconds. But their length doesn’t determine their value. Everything passes. Everything changes. And it should. Because we’re here to learn. We’re here to grow. We’re here to experience. We’re here to prosper in whatever way that means for each of us. So when life changes, as it inevitably will, I want to have the fortitude to keep moving forward. To accept what has been. To appreciate what is. And to remain open to what might be. Because we don’t get to keep every moment. We only get to live it. And perhaps the greatest lesson of all is simply this: While we’re here, truly be here. Live. Learn. Grow. Love. Fall. Rise. And keep moving forward. Because one day, all of this will be memory. And I want to know that I was here for it.

Samuel Cockings’ Stargate fan film is nearly through principal photography, backed by hundreds of CGI/VFX hours and a story spanning SG-1, Atlantis and Universe. Support the next step toward a 10-episode web series on GoFundMe, and share it with a fan. #SaveStargate gofund.me/3b5873ab9

Day 14 of AmazonMGMs X account being ratio’d by SG fans. The nerdy kids were always the most annoying. We only grow into the most annoying adults. ift.tt/9CrZ7fX #SaveStargate

Absolutely unacceptable. Dangerous driving and verbally abusing other road users is completely out of order, especially from someone driving a bus full of passengers. Hopefully your formal complaint is taken seriously and the driver is held accountable.
Replying to @nxwestmidlands
@nxwestmidlands @itvnews @BBCNews @TheVoiceNews Verbally abusive and driving dangerously - the driver was informed of his dangerous driving pulling out on road users and another driver had to mount the kerb to avoid him and telling them to Fuck Off. formal complaint! 94 bus!

The Stargate fandom truly is one big family! My friends at @WheelsofTheSyst got me an early birthday gift, and I honestly couldn’t ask for anything better…a special message from Kate Hewlett, aka Jeannie Miller from Stargate Atlantis! #SaveStargate

🚨 AMAZON, DON’T CLOSE THE GATE! 🚨 The proposed new Stargate series may have been cancelled, but Stargate is far from finished. Wouldn’t it be something wonderful if we could have these four back: Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett, returning to the Stargate universe? Imagine seeing these familiar faces back through the gate, alongside new characters and new stories. For longtime fans, it would be a truly special way to continue the legacy of Stargate. Amazon MGM, you own the Stargate. Please give it another chance. The fans are still here. The love for this franchise is still here. The gate should not stay closed. 🌌 SAVE STARGATE! #SaveStargate #Stargate #StargateSG1 #StargateAtlantis #StargateUniverse #AmazonMGM #PrimeVideo #MichaelShanks #AmandaTapping #JoeFlanigan #DavidHewlett

October 2, 2026. Four months. That’s how long it has been since we were told that the new Stargate series was being stopped. Four months later, and Stargate fans are still here. We haven’t forgotten. We haven’t gone away. And we haven’t stopped fighting for the series we were promised. From petitions and social media campaigns to billboards, events, fundraisers and fans coming together around the world, this fandom has continued to make its voice heard. Why? Because we believe Stargate deserves another chance. Because Martin Gero’s series had already come so far. Because this isn’t just another television show to the people who have spent decades travelling through that gate. It is a universe that has meant something to millions of people. And because we know what we want. We want Amazon MGM to listen. We want them to see that the audience is still here. We want them to reconsider the decision and revive Martin Gero’s Stargate series. Four months on, the fight continues. And we’ll keep going because the gate should not stay closed. 🌌 #SaveStargate
