FINAL: Yankees 9, Red Sox 2
New York sweeps Boston in dominant fashion and heads to the division series against top-seeded Tampa Bay. Every starter registered a hit. Cody Bellinger socked a three-run home run. The Yankees did just about everything well. The Red Sox … did not.

1. It was never a red
2. VAR was misapplied
3. Suspension of the suspension seems fair considering FIFA can’t actually admit to reffing mistakes
4. Trump calling makes the whole thing way grosser for no reason. Even if it didn’t have an impact it’s a bad look

If “making it” means getting to the NBA, the league minimum salary for a rookie on a full-season contract is $1,272,870 (almost $4 million annually min for 10-year vets).
The UFC equivalent would be, at most, $24k per fight with two to three fights annually being common.
Charlamagne: How do you justify being worth billions of dollars, but some fighters need second jobs?
Dana White: Listen, I'm sure some basketball players and baseball players still need second jobs too until they make it.

An Irish immigrant with a valid US work permit has been held in ICE detention in Texas for nearly five months despite having no criminal record, the Irish Times reports. Seamus Culleton, who has lived in the US for over 20 years, is married to a US citizen and was in the final stages of a green card application when he was arrested in September. He describes detention conditions akin to a “concentration camp,” limited access to outdoors, and constant hunger. A judge initially approved his release on bond, but the US government later blocked it.
His lawyer says the case is highly unusual and reflects arbitrary enforcement by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. ICE did not respond with comment on the story at the time of publication.

The biggest mistake the UFC makes is not utilizing the promotions they bought at all. People would be interested in a reset of PRIDE, Strikeforce, WEC, etc.

Absolutely amazing to me the number of fans who want Rice to catch. The man has zero arm strength. Simply not an everyday MLB catcher.
