I think this matters a LOT.

Combined a clock and calendar! Fun problem prompt to try to solve for. Cool stuff!!
BEHOLD the most confusing and difficult to read piece of ui ever. i wanted to combine a clock + calendar. i mean... there are elements i like...! but, it turns out being able to zoom into a clock makes things pretty nonsensical

Added a WebGPU morphing engine with post-processing effects to my custom Rust framework, plus lazy loading for GPU assets. Next step: shader-driven text animations, in and out.

It took me 7 years to solve this problem: There are 17 point-sized light-houses in the plane. Assume that each of these lighthouses can shine light in any direction with an angle of 2*pi/17. Prove that no matter the position of each lighthouse, it is always possible to choose the angles at which they shine their light such that every point in the plane is illuminated (point-sized lighthouses don’t cast shadows). I finally got the solution after thinking about it on and off for for a long time (in fact, with the key idea coming to me on a psychedelic state - I've talked about this on some podcast or another). Now thanks to Opus 5.5 I can show you guys how this is actually true for any configuration of lighthouses. In fact, it's true for any n :D I won't share the proof so you also have a chance to think it through ;-)

i feel a personal website should be a vessel for the multitudes we contain, so i made a gemstone to hold mine. the original 3 planes now grew to 20 facets/themes. every particle is a work. like a prism, hover a facet and a different side of me comes out.
building my personal site! so started playing with ways to visualize a body of works: mapping them as 3d particles, clustered by shared themes and projecting their shadows onto three planes: art, science and philosophy

Language is not fundamental to human consciousness. In terms of evolution, it arrived only recently on our timeline. Consciousness evolved over millions of years through sensory awareness, emotion, and the embodied survival instincts of our tribal past; our capacity for empathic engagement and community. Syntactic language only emerged around 100,000 years ago. This is exactly why Large Language Models (LLMs - so called AI) are the wrong pathway to true artificial consciousness. They try to replicate the late-stage "output layer" of human intelligence without building the foundational, embodied awareness that actually generates it. Statistical text prediction is a mirror of thought, not the spine, the guts, the nerves and the subconscious, empathic ability to connect with other living beings. LLMs can never feel, let alone think. We have been sold a trick, not a pathway to superintelligence. LLMs are fraudulent. Their capabilities have already peaked and we are being sold lies about their future potential. Lies with the goal of companies reaching IPO and tricking investors out of hundreds of billion$.

😍 loves me some spatial file systems and this one is a banger...
introducing Jevbox: an open-source document drive that organizes itself, answers questions, and cites everything (all powered by Jev). TLDR; - upload anything and Jev categorizes and files it into the folder tree - search is hierarchical: Jev picks the folder, then the document, then the section. No embeddings, no vector DB - every answer cites the page and section it came from - permissions are enforced at retrieval. If someone loses access to a source, they lose access to answers built on it too - ships with an MCP server, so your agents get the same permission-aware context @andrewlu0 has been experimenting with Jev internally and wanted to see how far it could go on a real document library. It's built on Extend Parse + Jev, and fully open-source The GitHub has instructions to self-host, or you can deploy it to Render in one click
