“Do the gods love their creations?”
My favourite dialogue in Bloodborne so far.
We create things that we admire, care for, and sometimes even love. Yet we might just as easily abandon, replace, or destroy them without a second thought. Now imagine a god looking at humanity the way we might look at a doll.
In a way, we're no different from her, wondering whether whoever created us might ever love us back.

Why would they? This sculpture was inspired by the cathedral in Nagasaki that was destroyed by the atomic bomb. Since there were consecrated hosts inside, according to Catholic theology this makes Jesus himself a survivor of nuclear war.

Kristen Bell reveals on her husband’s podcast ‘Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard’ that he flirts with her by complimenting other people:
“That’s how I know [Dax is] flirting with me a lot … We’ll be at dinner and like he’ll say to the waiter or waitress, he’ll go, ‘Wow, you have incredible eyelashes, gorgeous eyes. Great, great job.’”

How many times do you think we could’ve eradicated cancer with the money we’ve spent perfecting mechanized death to rain hellfire down on poor people because they don’t align with the interests of capital
That’s what hurts the most. I can handle living in an imperfect society. What bothers me is that humans are so fucking incredible. We are apes that forced sand to think, we can twist metal into any shape we want, we produce all the resources every person could ever need. I look at what we’ve done with it and think about what we could’ve done with the incredible gift we’ve been given and it’s devastating man
