Following my post yesterday highlighting the deplorable state of the Sunyani–Berekum road, I am pleased to report that the contractor has returned to site today. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, my Member of Parliament, Hon. Millicent Amankwaa Yeboah, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kwasi Asante Boateng, and the Ghana Highway Authority for heeding our call and taking prompt action. This is the Ghana we want to build together. A whole Major Road has been blocked since Yesterday and the Ghana Highway Authority @highwaysghana and Ministry of Roads & Highways @mrhgovgh in Sunyani have refused to attend to the scene. This contract has been given to Alexiboam and about a week now they have failed to appear on site unless they see Road Minister @governs00 coming before they come to site. Dear, H.E John Dramani Mahama @JDMahama , please kindly intervene for the good people of Sunyani Who uses this Major Highway to Berekum, Drobo, Dormaa, Sampa and Cote D’ivoire because it is one of the busiest road which brings enough revenue to the State.
