Bopster The Set 14 Regional Champ is a true enigma in TFT. If you were to only look at the career stats of the players in this field, Bopster would be one of the weakest. He has one of the lowest Top 4 rates, the highest 8th-place rate, and is coming through the Tier 2 circuit. But his stint in Tier 2 over the last two sets has painted a different picture of Bopster. Since getting relegated post-Set 16, Bopster has showcased a clear gap between himself and the average Tier 2 competitor, finishing in the Top 10 in every event he has entered. I can’t help but feel like we’re watching a rerun of an old episode. The last time we saw Bopster in the Top 8 of a Regional Finals, it was alongside three of the same competitors he faces today: Cambulee, Robinsongz, and Filup. In that event, Bopster won on the day with only one win, one of the few non-checkmate Regional Finals we’ve had in recent sets. That set Bopster entered the Regional Finals as an unassuming threat, a similar parallel to his entry through Tier 2. If there is one thing you can know for certain about Bopster, it’s that his unpredictable form makes him both an underdog and a favorite in nearly every field.
