The bathroom of this “sun-drenched” Park Slope apartment “boasts tile and a window.” Uh huh. A window AND tile you say????!!!!

The most incredible thing about this latest episode of #SuccessionHBO is that we see Roman’s breakdown coming from the first scene where he has notes for a speech but can’t bring himself to actually say the lines, because it would make his grief real to him for the first time.

I’m not in @WGAWest / @WGAEast… YET. But I started taking general meetings this year, which means I am joining the writers in their protest. The contract they win now may be mine one day too! Everyone who write should be out here.

Incredibly excited to announce that my sci-fire feature screenplay KANE is a finalist for the @finaldraftinc Big Break competition!! As of today it is also on the @Coverfly Red List and in the top 2% of all projects on the platform. So, #FilmTwitter, what do I do now?

The public has been prepared for the passing of Queen Elizabeth II for a while, but it’s still striking to think about the vast changes in the world — and the UK — during her reign.
1
Aftermath of World War II, the dissolution of the British Empire, the Cold War, Brexit. On one hand she shepherded an ancient institution and political system into the 21st century. On the other, the purpose of the crown and the role of the UK in world affairs was diminished.

That’s the fundamental question within her reign: What is a modern kingdom? And what is the king or queen’s purpose?
You also don’t have to worry about the price of sunlight or wind surging because of erratic behavior by a foreign leader, so it would help manage inflation.
This is an environmental catastrophe. I’ve been on oil palm plantations, and they’re hugely destructive, not just in terms of deforestation and emissions, but also because the monoculture wipes out local ecosystems. Consumers can play a role in stopping this, however. Here’s how.
Palm oil fell out of fashion because of deforestation concerns. But Russia’s war with Ukraine has forced food suppliers to use it again trib.al/LYT2U6Q

Compare two brands of peanut butter. Justin’s, which tends to be more expensive and markets itself as eco, actually blends palm oil into its peanut butter. It’s right there on the label. Good ol’ @Skippy does not do this.

The lesson here? Read labels, buy the brands without palm oil, and you may even save a buck and a few calories (although not always). If enough people do this, over time, the market will respond. The world’s environment will thank you.
