Big Law firms have pulled back sharply from litigation against the US government, Reuters found in an analysis of court dockets — a departure from Trump’s first term, when the nation’s largest firms were often involved in challenges to his directives reut.rs/3GSt37j

NEW: The interim U.S. attorney in Washington put his name to a motion dismissing Jan. 6 charges against a person he represented as a defense lawyer, likely violating a swath of conflict rules. "You can't do that," one ethics expert told us. reuters.com/world/us/top-tru…

RT @kyledcheney: BREAKING: Justice Merchan says he will sentence Donald Trump on Jan. 10:

Read the next sentence: "None of these FBI CHSs were authorized to enter the Capitol or a restricted area, or to otherwise break the law on January 6, nor was any CHS directed by the FBI to encourage others to commit illegal acts on January 6."
BREAKING: An Inspector General Report confirms the FBI had 26 confidential human sources on the ground at J6 and that some of them went into the Capitol. Was this entrapment? Why did it take us four years to learn this? Criminal.

This didn't start today. Mexico has been more aggressively stopping people from reaching the U.S. border all year. See, e.g., reuters.com/world/americas/m…
🚨 THE TRUMP EFFECT 🚨 Within hours of President Trump announcing that he will implement 25% tariffs on Canada & Mexico, Canadian PM Trudeau called him to talk border security & the Mexican president announced illegal alien caravans will be stopped.

Last week, DOJ ordered the DEA to stop hitting up travelers at airports and train stations to search thier bags looking for suspicious cash. The "consensual encounters" can continue only if tied to a particular case or with the director's approval. oig.justice.gov/sites/defaul…

Those who think it was a hoax should really read the report produced by the (Republican-led) Senate Intel Committee. The gov't never proved a conspiracy, but there was lots of very unusual stuff going on, including a campaign chair tied to a Russian spy. intelligence.senate.gov/site…
This is exactly what was used to fuel four years of the Russian collusion hoax: “Well the DOJ/FBI is investigating so there must be a reason...” The point was to distract Trump and maybe actually find something damning. After $32 million in tax dollars wasted, there was nothing.

Isn't this a case of the AP reporting the conclusions the military formed, rightly or wrongly, during the first Trump administration?
They're attacking Pete Hegseth for having a Christian motto tattooed on his arm. This is disgusting anti-Christian bigotry from the AP, and the entire organization should be ashamed of itself.

Trump names three of his personal lawyers as top DOJ officials: Todd Blanche as Deputy AG; John Sauer as SG, and Emil Bove as Principle Associate Deputy AG. (So much for the old common wisdom that representing Trump did no favors for your career.) cnn.com/2024/11/14/politics/…

A sign of how easily some Senate Rs might cave on Gaetz. Mullin has previously accused Gaetz of sleeping with an underaged girl, showing off videos of girls he slept with on the House floor, and bragging about taking ED meds to "go all night."
TAPPER: Are you gonna vote for Matt Gaetz? SEN. MARKWAYNE MULLIN: I completely trust President Trump's decision making on this one

From colleague @holmeslybrand: The Philadelphia Police Department told CNN they were not aware what Trump was referring to and did not know of any issues with voting that required a law enforcement response.
