Why would someone with over 400,000 followers start making videos they don’t even post on their own page? In this episode of The UGC Industry Podcast, I down with Zach Rance, a former Big Brother contestant, content coach, and longtime influencer, to discuss his move into UGC, creating content consistently, and building brand relationships that go beyond a single paycheck. Zach shares how a $750 offer for two videos introduced him to UGC, why he believes brands are shifting away from traditional influencer deals, and how delivering extra content led to an invitation to Jake Paul’s ranch. He also walks through the video frameworks he uses to generate ideas and the scripting and editing workflow he’s testing to increase production. We also explore why older creators can stand out, how a personal brand can attract inbound deals, and the skills Zach believes will matter as the UGC industry becomes more competitive. 00:43 From Big Brother Brand Deals to UGC 02:25 How Social Media Changed the Playing Field 03:19 When the Fame and Brand Deals Slowed Down 05:49 Inside Zach’s Daily Content Routine 06:49 How to Create More Without Overthinking 08:31 Building a Scripting and Editing Team 10:22 Choosing the Right Brands to Work With 12:30 Using Repetition and Data to Improve 13:51 Finding New Formats and Video Ideas 15:33 Zach’s Go-To UGC Video Frameworks 18:23 Creating Content With Your Partner 19:03 How Overdelivering Led to Jake Paul’s Ranch 20:52 Building Long-Term Brand Relationships 22:48 Why Zach Says “Influencers Are Cooked” 25:08 The Advantage of Starting UGC After 30 29:07 Building a Personal Brand That Attracts Deals 33:01 Retainers, Commissions and Zach’s Favorite Deals 34:07 Where UGC Is Heading Next 38:48 Zach’s Advice for Getting Started 39:50 Where to Find Zach

Your 30s are like your 20s, but with more money and less time and energy. If you do your 20s right, you will have a LOT more money, and only a little less time and energy. If you do your 20s wrong, you will have only slightly more money, but a lot less time and energy. What you do in your 20s shadows you for the rest of your life.

The year is 2021. The world is still shut down. You wake up, make coffee, then hop on Discord. Turn on the PS5 and run Fortnite Squads with your boys. Get an alert that 3080's restocked at BestBuy. Hop on 5 different accounts to join the queue, hit on 3 of them, make $3k in 5 minutes. Back to Tilted Towers. Life is good.

I get more inbounds than 99% of UGC creators and I have the least “brand friendly” page out there I’m saying whatever I want, cussing, roasting people, usually shirtless.. I don’t even post UGC examples It’s because I’m being myself, so I sound natural That’s what brands want For 90% of UGC creators, by posting your “UGC examples”, you’re just advertising to brands that you suck 😂😂😭 Love, A UGC creator who’s never had to do outreach 💋😘

Everybody wants to know, how do I actually make money on Trybe? You’re about to find out… In this episode of the UGC Industry Podcast, I sit down with Colin Reich, the founder of Trybe’s #1 agency, UGC Club (formely Vsquad), to discuss performance-based UGC, finding the right brands on Trybe, and becoming a creator brands want to keep working with. 6th full month of UGC and just crossed $20k cash collected. Kind of a vanity metric because I was happy to hit $18k in month 4 and $16k in month 5 but it does feel cool to cross the $20k mark especially because in February of this year I had no idea what I was gonna do with my life lol

One of the best things about Canvas UGC and Trybe as opposed to traditional UGC is the ability to travel since you don't need to constantly get shipped new products. It's actually the new travel content hack lol

As a UGC creator, you're not a content creator You're a salesperson And your means of selling is over video You can make "pretty videos" with cool transitions and camera angles but if they don't convert, you're completely useless to the company

What other industries besides UGC can you lock in for 4 - 6 months and being making $20k - $30k per month? Pretty crazy if you think about... that level of income used to be reserved for senior corporate roles where people had to work decades to get to. The internet is the great equalizer

What happens when you stop chasing followers and start creating videos that brands will pay for? In this episode of the UGC Industry Podcast, I sit down with @ColinMaddenUGC, who built a seven-figure UGC agency at just 22, to discuss his journey from aspiring influencer to full-time UGC creator and agency owner. Colin shares how a TikTok opportunity he initially thought was a scam led to a $10,000 first month, how existing brand relationships helped him land his first agency client, and why some of his best-performing creators started with no experience. We also explore the earning limits of stacking retainers, the trade-offs of performance-based deals, and how creators can build a business beyond making every video themselves. 00:37 From UGC Creator to Agency Owner 01:55 Why Colin Stopped Chasing Followers 03:23 Getting Paid to Create Without an Audience 04:09 What Makes a Great UGC Creator 07:43 Making His First $10K Month in High School 11:56 Landing His First Agency Client 12:52 Helping GoWish Reach #1 in the App Store 15:20 Building a Creator Network From Scratch 17:37 How to Get Started With UGC 19:01 What Brands Actually Want From Creators 20:55 Why Professionalism Gives You an Edge 22:36 Breaking Through the Retainer Income Ceiling 23:38 How Performance-Based Deals Work 25:40 Building Systems to Create More Efficiently 27:43 Why Accountability Matters 30:04 What’s Next for Colin and Artech 31:55 Final Advice for New Creators
