I think a lot of the reception and interpretation of this dilemma hinges on how Dakota Johnson plays Lowen. Which, IMO, is very different from how I read that character in the book. It’s both more interesting and not!

I don’t doubt they are happy. But when you now have multiple songs about him that reference his podcast (and football or his team), that’s just a sign of how the love is tied to the business and she can’t extricate the two from her inspiration.
