The article I wrote on arts engagement, @MIFestival and the 'Virtual factory' for the @bigissuenorth is now online.
Chuffed to be featured in such a fantastic magazine! Working not begging.

Always Go To The Funeral
“Always go to the funeral” means that I have to do the right thing when I really, really don’t feel like it. I have to remind myself of it when I could make some small gesture, but I don’t really have to and I definitely don’t want to. I’m talking about those things that represent only inconvenience to me, but the world to the other guy. You know, the painfully under-attended birthday party. The hospital visit during happy hour. The Shiva call for one of my ex’s uncles. In my humdrum life, the daily battle hasn’t been good versus evil. It’s hardly so epic. Most days, my real battle is doing good versus doing nothing.”

Chaos at Euston again and across the railways this weekend.
Sorting this mess out needs to be a top-level priority for the Government in 2025 - starting on day one in the New Year.
People are truly fed up with it and it is damaging the economy.
Latest video where I create a mosaic floor in my hallway. Did a deal with Tile Mountain (which is quite exciting). Check it out if you get chance

with the Olympics coming up this week I am reminded that the London 2012 Opening Ceremony is my Roman Empire and every time I watch it I cry and nothing will ever top this teapawt.net/PantherAS90/status/181…

There are few things I am proud of but being a west Londoner is one of them. Today to mark the closure of a dear friend’s family chip shop was a special experience. Paul Weller doing a reggae version of You Do Something to Me the cherry on top of an emotional day.

Genuinely a bit difficult to put into words what Sir Howard Bernstein’s legacy has been and will be in Manchester and well beyond, although just a walk around the city centre provides a glimpse. An absolute behemoth of a municipal leader. RIP.

Yesterday, the PM Sunak donated 6 boxes of mince pies to front line workers.
On the same day, the Mayor of Greater Manchester @AndyBurnhamGM donated 15% of his salary to help tackle homelessness, which he does every month.
Compare and contrast....

Wow! - Andy Burnham, "We stood up for people in our region who would otherwise have struggled into lockdown without funds to help them.. Because we took that stand they decided to make an example of us.. They knew Tier 3 didn't work, they knew that, but they were still going to impose it on us without enough financial support" @AndyBurnhamGM #CovidInquiry

We tried something a bit different last week. We got a choir together and sang One Day Like This by Elbow. @jan_Vanblandon passed it onto Guy Garvey, who sent us a video saying he thought it was ‘truly remarkable’ and that he was humbled and privileged that we chose that song.
Special day on Saturday with the opening of "The Welcome" 💥
