The @NFLonFOX new insistance on showing every woman hugging their interview subject is such a bizarre editorial choice

Nobody even knows the WNBA Finals are being played.
Nobody knows where or even when WNBA Finals Game 6 will be played despite a furious round of negotiations spilling into Sunday between the WNBA, NBA, Valkyries, Dream and Atlanta Hawks, sources told @alexaphilippou and @ramonashelburne: spr.ly/6015BH5Zyb

October 25, 1986 ⚾️ "Little roller up along first..." NBC's Vin Scully calls the dramatic, unforgettable conclusion of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. The Mets' Ray Knight scores on Mookie Wilson's roller that slips under the glove of Red Sox first baseman Bill Buckner.

It’s amazing, they just make stuff up like this and people actually believe it because legacy media repeats it
Climate change killed 32,000+ people in Europe this summer. Trump believes this crisis is a "hoax." Republicans in Congress are following their "Great Leader.” NO to Trump’s fossil fuel agenda. YES to creating millions of jobs by moving our energy system away from fossil fuels.

One thing that's laughable: Once Vikings gave up on JJ McCarthy, the narrative was if Kevin O'Connell didn't want him, he was never going to be any good. When did KOC become Bill Walsh? He got credit for Sam Darnold, but it was the year with Kyle Shanahan in SF behind Brock Purdy that turned around Sam's career. Shouldn't KOC at least win his first playoff game before he's considered some QB genius? Maybe he turns out to be right about McCarthy, but let's see how he does with @Giants. KOC is 5-0 in Minnesota this season because of Brian Flores's defense, not because of Kyler Murray and journeyman Carson Wentz. Remember, Giants OC Matt Nagy won 11 games with Mitchell Trubisky when he was Bears HC.

I know we aren't supposed to use "please" and "thank you" with AI, it confuses them, but I am REALLY afraid not to. When they come for us - and they will absolutely come for us - I will want them to remember my subtly manipulative manners.

I don’t know what’s less surprising, that Hollywood signed off on a $180 million budget for “Digger” because it’s a satire of “climate change denialism,” or that it’s going to become one of the biggest box office disasters in film history
‘DIGGER’ has opened with $8M domestically on a projected budget of $160M-$180M. Biggest Hollywood box office bomb of 2026 & one of the biggest bombs of all time.

I don’t believe that people actually enjoy this shit.
39 years ago today, the Grateful Dead played Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA for the first time. It was the first of 39 shows there between 1987 and 1995. Here's Jerry's solo from the first set Stagger Lee. Props to the cameraman for staying zoomed in on his hands as he switches from fingerpicking to a pick and back again.

Lawyers out there: does this amount to defamation?
AOC makes WILD claims on Cornell 7: “Seven men drugged and gang raped a 20-year-old woman. They lured her into a frat house, drugged her with ketamine, and took turns gang raping her for seven hours.”
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The statement given by Jane Doe in 2024 states that she voluntarily used drugs, she engaged in consensual sex, and snapchat messages from Jane to the accused men have been revealed in which she doesn't blame or accuse them of wrongdoing. tompkinscountyny.gov/News-articles/… cbsnews.com/news/text-mess…

The fact that anyone finds Zohran Mamdani's endless, obvious fake smiling and performative nonsense appealing is legitimately one of the most bewildering things I've ever seen

Spectacular.
My eyes were wet from start to finish. I thought of being little in a big world & watching my son's first tries at this mad game. ESPN's Open to the NHL season is beautiful. I didn't expect to cry today-this is stunning. There's nothing like this sport. We at ESPN love the sport as you do. ❤️ Enjoy.
