Most AI clipping tools ask: Which parts of this video should be clipped? Video intel starts earlier: What's inside the video? Which pull quotes matter? That's the gap I built VideoBrief.ai to fill.

Americans are watching hard news on phones at scale. I've published the data as an interactive Claude Artifact. Go look at it yourself.

Legacy media's real problem isn't content—it's signal. TikTok and Instagram get algorithmic data from millions of micro-interactions. Disney gets it from everyone watching Andor for an hour. The math doesn't work.

MLB’s 162-game regular season has long been a boon for teams selling summerlong tonnage to cable TV channels. As recently as 2022, 23% of MLB team revenues came from local media deals, nearly twice the percentage seen in the NBA or NHL. But the decline of regional sports networks has changed the math in baseball, which is now actively considering shortening its season.
MLB proposed returning to a 154-game slate in talks with the MLB Players Association on Thursday, the league announced, touting the benefits of a weekly off day for players and the potential to expand the playoffs’ Division Series round from best-of-five to best-of-seven battles. The changes would go into effect in 2029.

DAZN is a global streaming juggernaut, with NFL rights in Europe and ownership of the largest pay TV platform in Australia.
It is quietly building a massive U.S. operation by snatching up live sports rights abandoned by defunct regional cable networks. thedesk.net/2026/10/dazn-sca…
Local TV anchors aren't just reading the news anymore. They're increasingly producing, directing and even running their own broadcasts.
For @TheWrap, I spoke with anchors, station executives and industry sources about the benefits, trade-offs and what this means for local newsrooms. thewrap.com/media-platforms/…

Gen Z didn't grow up with channel guides. Reformatting content into vertical won't matter if your UI is an old person EPG. The real problem: how you surface what already exists.

Paramount keeping Pluto TV alive is a concession? Gotta be kidding me. Fourth-highest FAST reach, 26% YoY viewing growth, and a tech stack just totally re-built for better ad monetization. FAST is having its moment, a shut down makes zero sense.

What a weird random world where sydney sweeney gets in trouble for not being true to the “women in sports” movement bc sexy ad, followed by a story of a real female hyrox athelete soiling herself during marathon. Both stories are disturbing which seems perfect for the times we are in.
Wow - Very disappointed in @jimcramer re his cynical & idiotic POV to think that @DarioAmodei is trying to “lock in” an advantage like a yellow flag at F1. Seriously the stupidest thing he’s ever said on air. It does the opposite! And how many times did Hock Tan have to tell you that yes he agrees w Dario and no these aren’t illogical ideas that if we don’t manage this thing it will get out of control?
OMG. IT ALREADY HAS ESCAPED THE TESTING ENVIRONMENT & COMMITTED A FELONY! Today will go down as the worst moment on air for Mad Money in history. But let’s bounce back! Let’s go for broke with an apology on air and why not bring Dario in person so you can apologize to him eye to eye. @CNBC And btw why not bring other experts to actually debate this for real? Education, not wild idiotic conspiracy theories please. 🤦‍♂️

California Gubernatorial Candidates Steve Hilton and Xavier Becerra have agreed to a debate that will be produced by CNN at the end of the month.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. local time (9 p.m. Eastern Time) at CNN's Los Angeles-area studios in Burbank.
I'm loving this post. I'm not agreeing with it. I'm just appreciating it.
a few enterprise sales thoughts ...
1. the entire game is about expansion; beyond just seats. once you're in, you're in ... getting in is the hardest part (i.e. the land) -- all future rev. multiples are in expand.
2. selling a $100K deal is often same effort as closing a $1MM deal
3. deals get closed in text; if you're not texting there's a lot at risk
4. corporates entire job is to build for the boss; the frame needs to land for their boss/board (i.e. C-suite)
5. tier 1 logos ARE the early adopters; everyone has this wrong
6. procurement is designed to slow-down momentum in buying process; meaning it's the justification stage; do not let this go more than 30-45 days
7. founders involved in the sales process is the biggest competitive advantage of it all; visionary/passion hits so, so different
8. services are their largest budget line item; find a way to leverage this; it's also the fastest way in
9. make all your claims auditable; for example: "we save you 1,000+ hrs" feels very sales-y and far reaching
10. the sales team with most insider intel will always wins
11. selling the problem is a waste of time; critical to understand, YES, but seldom why they buy -- fastest way to commoditize yourself
